Frankfurt A/M, Germany June 18, 2007. Germany's most notorious filmmaker, Dr. Uwe Boll, has just launched a campaign to promote the theatrical release of his latest movie - the political satire POSTAL.
The main advertising tool to promote the film and its very controversial content, will be a website called www.ny-POSTAL.com. The site is a satire of the US-newspaper, New York Post's website. Boll's intention is to break through the so called "political correctness"of Western Countries' that has escalated today to a point of self-censorship. "People need to be able to express themselves and have intelligent debate on subjects. It will be the demise of society that we all accept status quo and buy-in to everything that we are told do. Western Society is going wrong in many directions and through shocking comedy of Postal I hope that people do begin to speak their mind on what each individual thinks is right and wrong. " Boll says.
The 20 Mio. Dollar budget movie POSTAL openly provokes and breaks society taboos of all kinds such as nationalism, religion, racism, obesity, politics or sexual orientation. Uwe Boll always in for a good surprise even pokes fun at himself in Postal: in his cameo, Dr Boll plays himself complete in traditional Bavarian outfit that admits to financing his movies with Nazi gold right before he is shot in the groin.
POSTAL will be released on October 4th, 2007 in Germany, UK, US and Canada.
