Each Citizen's Responsibility

Well I guess after reading your comment I'm going to try and boil it all down. Do you think it would be worth building a Direct Democracy Participatory web site? I know at first it would just be another polling site. I was watching Link TV for just a few minutes and they had Zogby on there and I happened to get through and had my question on TV. I said that I had watched the numbers of voters in the primaries and in Minnesota as well as most states, there were over three times as many who voted Democrat than those that voted Republican. So, I aske why he and many polsters are not saying the McCain is running neck and neck with the Democrats and has a chance to win. He said it is more complicated than the number of voters and has to do with the personalities of the candidates. What a Neo-Con that Zogby is, well in my opinion anyway. I think he rigs his polls.
So I've been trying to get Joomla running on my computer and it has been a pain in the but for me. I want people to be able to go to a web site and vote on all issues that seem to be important; the war, abortion and all the other dumb stuff people seem to choose a candidate for. Once I get a polling site built then I will have to work on security so I can identify each voter and make sure each person can vote only once. If we can get our money with debit cards using computers we aught to be able to vote fairly using computers and be able to vote on the issues. If somebody actulally offered this in the up comming election running for a congress seat as an independant, I think they would get in. An overwhelming number of us are sick of the kind of people that get elected that I mentioned in the start of this topic.
Do you think we could do it? Would you want to help? A group I'm in PeaceNorth.org has about 5 people that keep our web page going. It is almost anarchistic with no read boss and it works.
Sorry that you two are also getting snubbed in this straight up bold face liar takes all economy the neo-con spawn have created to enslave us all and take over the world.

Ken ~
Will you find me on yahoo so we can chat regarding this matter? My ID: homeworker9992. I have a few questions, that I am sure will spawn more questions and it would be much easier to discuss it over chat rather than here on the fstv community forums. I am certainly interested and of course I would help.....I mean after all, I said I am Stepping Up! All I (and my partner) have ever been waiting for was others to say they would step up along side us. We the people can do ANYTHING we set our hearts, minds & hands to do.
Find me on yahoo soon and lets discuss what we can DO. Oh and please do not be sorry for us. Our reality is the one we have deliberately & intentionally chosen and with full knowledge of the consequences. On a positive note, our meeting with our landlord went well last night and we will be sticking around our safe & quiet Vermont until something inspires/motivates us to leave. We are fortunate that he appreciates that we are good tenants and good people and respects our independent sovereignty. He supports our act of conscience and our need to conduct our existence with the courage of our convictions. He is rare in these days & we are grateful. Ya know...I am actually seriously considering testing the waters of governorship here in Vermont. I mean hey...if a stripper can run for mayor......am I right? Anyway, look forward to chatting with you soon, by the way, if yahoo doesn't work for you I have msn & aim as well as skype. Just let me know so we can hook up and chat.
And Liberty For ALL

Ken ~
This direct participatory form of governing is very much what my partner & I also envision as the only means by which to create a governing structure that is indeed of, by & for we the people.
However, despite the stats that bush & this administration have the lowest approval ratings ever, the challenge seems to be that much of this majority also believes there is little they can do to change the current reality, or the direction bush & the rest of the American government/corporate terrorists are directing this country & we the people.
In chatting with an online acquaintance yesterday a startling reality has been revealed to me. Although this individual does not agree with the policies of the current American government or it's actions domestically or internationally, she is quite content to vote for the lesser of two evils and make the best of the reality for as long as she is able. I believe that this is a common philosophy amongst the majority of Americans who represent the stats you mentioned in your post. They may or may not be interested, understand or acknowledge the true realities we now know represent the events of 9/11, the wars our country has waged upon other nations & the failure of our job & economic realities in this country, the toxins we are exposed to everyday in our homes, foods/drinks, workplaces etc, the truth about immunizations, the tobacco industry and more, either way, they choose the bliss of ignorance over the temporary inconveniences and personal sacrifices that will be necessary to create real & lasting change in our country & it's governing structure.
Part of this I believe stems from that fact that the majority of those of us who are interested, do understand & acknowledge these realities are not doing anything more than talking about it...so why should anyone else. For this individual I was chatting with yesterday, the systems in place now work pretty damn well, even if she doesn't agree with their policies. She collects a few SS benefit checks for taking a few orphans off their hands, makes the most of the income tax game and is now pregnant bringing their family unit grand total to 8. She does not see her actions as irresponsible or ignorant. She proudly claims that she is completely aware of these nightmare realities, does not agree with them, but refuses to allow them to cause her suffering or make her miserable. She will just make the most of it for as long as she can. I think that when you truly believe there is nothing you can do as an individual to influence change, that this mentality is necessary in order not to go MAD with insanity, which she has already experienced as she has spent plenty of her time doped up on "me too" drugs.
In a recentpost
I talk about a series of educational seminars/workshops I have developed to spread the information that is provided by alternative media resources and fstv. If you reside in a metro area perhaps you are not aware of the reality that exists in rural areas such as where we live in Vermont, however the reality is made clear to us on a very regular basis. Many individuals here and elsewhere still do not have access to alternative media resources available through satellite tv programming such as fstv or the internet, and even if they do, they lack the ability or will to understand it or apply it to their own existence in any meaningful/influential manner. You are correct that we have computers and the internet...and they are useful in spreading information, even so, that information most of the time, lacks real impact in individuals lives, because they are under the impression that although they now know the whole truth, they are powerless to do anything about it, that their individual actions are not significant enough to reward the sacrifices necessary. I believe that an important key to creating & using non-violent revolution lays in providing individuals with practical every day things they can do as individuals that alone will not have any significant impact, but in unity as the movement grows...can literally redirect the future of our country.
My partner and I see our individual responsibilities as citizens of this great nation as two fold. First and foremost, we must be willing to take the risks & make the sacrifices necessary ourselves and set the example for others to follow through practical, easy to follow applications. Second is the willingness to educate others. Joel's post to which I replied talks about how deliberately and intentionally with holding/directing our $usd$ can be a very effective means of doing this and we concur.
Depriving American oil companies & corporate obscenities like Wal Mart of their profits we believe hold untapped & infinite potential for shifting power back to we the people, while simultaneously putting these war mongering, greedy economic & environmental terrorists in their rightful place. However, individuals that make up the majority of Wal Mart shoppers, are not aware of the realities their shopping creates, lost jobs, lower wages etc....here in their own country. They do not have any realization that they are contributing to their own suffering & poverty, by encouraging monstrosities like Wal Mart to exist & flourish. Some believe that Wal Mart is an "American" company, as American as they come...so they are doing their patriotic duty spending their money with them and in the process getting great deals too! Some will say they have no choice in the current economy, that they must stretch their dollar as far as possible. And for those working at places such as Wal Mart....their options are few considering the public assimilation system has made sure they did not have an eduction that would provide them with a better means of providing for themselves. The last few generations of public school graduates have been little more than drone slave/war labor...with only a very few approved for higher educational opportunities. We are literally becoming a nation of village idiots, even the majority of our mainstream college educated graduates care little about the political/social/economic realities that surround them. Mindlessly ignorant & morally bankrupt drones, the few of us who are not....lack the courage of our convictions and the motivation to actually do anything other than post on the internet about it. And unfortunately, many times people have only called for one day boycotts of American oil companies to get their attention, when what is needed is a boycott that does not end until we the people find our demands and the demands of our constitution and bill of rights satisfied.
So Ken...I propose to you this......let us, those of us who willfully accept the challenge our founding fathers accepted, let us be the first to set the example & take the steps necessary to really get this movement MOVING! All the protest, petitions, rallies & marches are a waste of energy & only put us in harms way. It is more than obvious to me, that demanding that this current administration or anyone connected to them do the right thing is a colossal waste of time & energy. My grandfather always said....if you want something done do it yourself. So again, as in my recent post reply to Joel we are offering ourselves to this cause. In honor of the radical & at the time treasonous, actions taken by the founding fathers of this nation, we invite any interested individuals to join us in taking the words of our nations Declaration of Independence to heart, mind & hands and honor the risks & sacrifices our founding fathers accepted as their own responsibilities on behalf of the future of a potentially great nation.
My partner & I have already declared our independence & sovereignty as individuals, we are ready to take the next step and form a real & working group of individuals who will come together to promote, protect & provide for the commonly shared causes represented by our nation's constitution & bill of rights and afforded us by our nations declaration of independence. These are not just god damned pieces of paper....these are concepts & agreements meant to provide, protect & promote "we the people" at the time when we need it most....THAT TIME IS PRESENTLY UPON US!
Again I will request & encourage those of you reading this to consider investing your time, energy and $usd$ in yourselves for a change. Yes I know you think you have to pay off your credit cards, or whatever. Perhaps you aren't in debt over your head so you feel like splurging on yourselves....well there is no better splurge than that of freedom, equality & peace. What they, meaning bush, his administration, their corporate sponsors etc...have that we do not...is simply the willingness to invest all we have in what we believe in.
Sunday....I will be meeting with an individual who is interested in buying some silver & gold I have. I have no idea how much $usd$ it will bring, although if I were even to see a spark of interest here in the fstv community I would willingly invest it in the furtherance of becoming the next generation of founding fathers, than to invest it in myself alone.
Tomorrow night we will be meeting with our landlord at his request....we do not know why he has requested a meeting with us, although some things come to mind. He has for the last two years just barely managed to hang onto his ownership of this property. He does not use our rent money, always paid early, to pay the property taxes on the place or to repair and maintain it. He had to refinance it last summer, after losing his own job & having to move in with his daughter. So it is very possible that he will tell us he can not hang onto it any longer & the mortgage will go into default or that he must request we move out so that he can move in since the job market for him is dwindling in the recession. If either of these realities unfolds, we will have little option other than to sell what we can of our possessions and live out of our car until some alternative option becomes available. One alternative we certainly wish to explore is the one I wrote about in my reply to Joel. Traveling across this great nation of ours, educating & uniting individuals as the next generation of founding patriots of a new American future. A future of true equality, freedom & peace, a future of real & direct participation in governing. A future where the personal sovereignty of the individual is not compromised, but instead liberated, in order to encourage direct participation in their nations governing process. We the people, means ALL the people.
It is more than obvious to me that those who currently find the social/government/economic structures/systems workable will find little inspiration to oppose it until something better is available. However, those like ourselves, for whom the current social/governing/economic structures & systems do not work, Those who have been left behind, abandoned, ignored, neglected, abused & enslaved, those without anything left to lose and every thing to gain are the ones we should be attempting to inform, educate, champion & unite first.
I don't know if you meant a new "party" (PPDDP), to compete against the current illusionary mutli-partied election system, however, I don't personally hold any hope that yet another political party will provide us with any measure of power. The greatest power we have as individuals lays in our willingness to separate ourselves from the current corruption entirely & accept the responsibility, the duty & the right Thomas Jefferson wrote out in the Declaration of Independence. To accept that our suffering is tolerable only because we make it so and that the end to that suffering lays only within each & every one of us and the risks we are willing to take to liberate we the people yet again from the terrorist oppressions of selfishness & greed that feed this obscene nightmare called The American Dream. We have become the land of greed & home of the depraved.....let us accept that it is indeed our responsibility to take deliberate & intentional actions to salvage the vision our founding fathers risks their lives to give birth to. The land of the free and the home of the brave. A nation looked up to and respected...not feared and loathed, by all. A governing structure & representation that serves as a shining example of equality and freedom....democracy/socialism...call it what you want. As long as it provides for protect & promotes EVERYONE who cares what name it is called by.
It is only in our willingness to unite and invest all we have in each other and the common causes first laid out by our founding fathers & the documents they created to ensure them, and the future of this potentially great nation,, that we will find the empowerment we need to shift the governing power of this nation back to we the people, where it has and always will belong.
We again step up.....and offer ourselves as the first members of a new generation of non violent revolutionary founding patriots. Who of you will have the courage of your convictions to step up beside us, not behind us, not below us, not above us, but beside us, and honor the work, the risks, the sacrifices made by our founding fathers by investing all you have in time, energy & valuable commodities....to halt the continued destruction to our constitution and bill of rights, our nation and it's positive potential, our environment & our planet, hell even the space of our universe is in jeopardy.
There are other nations who will support the work of such a group of individuals, willing to bring political/social & economic equality to our once great country. Leaders in other nations who would like nothing more than to see such a reality come to be. Leaders who have proven it can be done, such as those in Latin American nations. They do not fear the current American terrorist regime......and neither should we. The only fear we have is fear itself. This is the most opportune time for us to make the most of the power we have to deliberately & intentionally direct our $usd$, while simultaneously informing, educating & uniting individuals of this country to bring back governing of, by and for the people....ALL the people.
"When one comes to think of it, there are no such things as divine, immutable, or inalienable rights. Rights are things we get when we are strong enough to make good our claim on them.": Helen Keller
While our nations declaration of independence indeed declares that some rights are considered inherent, in the current reality those rights can only be ours if we are indeed willing to be strong enough to claim them as our own. Alone those claims are insignificant to those who's unity gives them all the power they need...but that is the key...unity of individuals, sharing the burden and strengthening each other and in doing so, we multiply & magnify our ability to shift the power to govern ourselves and our nation back to we the people.
An individual sovereign for direct participatory democracy in service to a future of universal equality, freedom & peace, yes I would vote for myself, join me and vote for yourself too!

Would You Vote For Yourself?
First of all, right up to the coming 2008 election, for all the talk of it, the United States of America does not have a democratic form of government. Presently, nation wide, a majority of "We the People" believe that Dick Cheney and George Bush are guilty of impeachable war crimes; up to 72% according to pollster.com, 54% according to Americanresearchgroup.com and 82% according to recent youpolls.com polls. While some in the US are still brainwashed about 9/11 by US news media; bought to you by some of the same reptilian like soulless shells of humans as those infesting our government; Architects and Engineers for 9-11 Truth have made a movie available for free on the Internet called "How the Towers Fell" narrated by Richard Gage. Any God fearing conservative that watches this will realize; elements within our government were involved in and orchestrated the treasonous Reichstag of 9/11. Neither the Democrats nor Republicans will stop this New World Order, a war against the world including we the majority of the people of the United States. Read Noam Chomski, Imperial Ambitions before you dismiss this all as lunacy.
Who is able to make war with this beast? We a united people are. We have computers and we have Internet. We the people can understand proposed legislation. I am a novice to web site building yet I am certain I can develop a web site where eligible voters within a congressional district could go to vote on law and legislation rather than corruptible persons. It is also possible to send and receive ballots by US mail in a form similar to those multiple choice tests that you mark with a lead pencil, so voters who do not want to use computers can also vote on legislation rather than egocentric individuals. A majority of such votes would then become the vote that the congressmen would cast for their district. We must act before certain paranoid delusional "leaders", worshippers of Mammon and scroogism, bankrupt Social Security, cut Medicare to the point of nonexistence and continue to outsource our jobs to places that have no labor or environmental laws, all because their maximum profit is the bottom line. The richest 1% of US citizens have more wealth then the combined wealth of the lower 90%, yet the purpose of their government seems to be making themselves richer. If these politicians were not as I describe them, they would give you the democracy I speak of.
What I'm talking about here is the formation of a new political party. The Progressive Participatory Direct Democracy Party (PPDDP)? Or is everyone happy as sheep who are too stupid to govern ourselves? Heck, I'd love to be a vote counter for the $158 thousand dollars that some current US congresspersons get to sell us all out. If even only one person leaves a positive comment about this forum topic, I'll keep working on true democracy, you-democracy.
