Experiments on Animals

Ask the experimenters why they experiment on animals, and the answer is: "Because the animals are like us." Ask the experimenters why it is morally okay to experiment on animals, and the answer is: "Because the animals are not like us." Animal experimentation rests on a logical contradiction.
Charles R. Magel
Vivisection is a social evil because if it advances human knowledge, it does so at the expense of human character.

Magel & Shaw
Animals are insufficiently like us to make them effective experimental models for humans. In fact, even in experiments using exclusively humans the differences among individuals often produce inadequate/inconclusive results. - Yet, animals are enough like us to be granted the same ethical considerations when it comes to any kind of experimentation.
So Magel's "experimenters" have it backwards, but it is a nice representation of their hypocritical illogic.
Shaw is spot-on. (... though, in my overly-critical opinion, "abomination" would be better than "evil" - and the human expense, to character or otherwise, is the least one. The animals are forced to spend and spend and spend until they can give no more.)
1. Let us compare animals
1. Let us compare animals with children by the two criteria, intelligence and vulnerability, with regards to human society.
...And now imagine your reaction on experiments on children!
2. If we let the argument that the 'scientists' torture them exclusively to save us, then:
a) we must know nothing about human nature and economical reality: greed and ambition are the moving forces; the people work for profit.
b) we must be led by anxiety and insecurity, greatly exposed to propaganda of the industries;
And what is with cosmetics?
Do you believe that shampoo must be tested on eyes of bunnies, again and again?! Do you agree to pay THIS price for a fake shine of your hair?

To Breta: abomination? ...maybe villainy?
