FarienHYPE 9/11

Does anyone have any views or info on the not-yet-released film?

It's time to wake up, people!

Moore's 911 Film

I believe Moore did a great job. It open my eyes and it got me curious and that is how I found FSTV and many outstanding stories related to this issue. Like other have stated, it's best to get as much information as possible, and hope it isn't twisted too far one way or another.

I believe this would have never came to be if our government would have abidded by our Founding Fathers intent of separation of church and state. Think about it, Bush feels he's doing God's will (his God anyway). Faith has nothing to do with politics. Government needs to stay out of our churches, bedrooms, laptops and phones. We can thank the top one percent for heading us into destruction, whether it be global war or natures cleansing us off her wounded bosum.

FarienHYPE 9/11

Great analysis of the FarenHype movie. I am very new to all this politics stuff, and I saw both movies too.

When I saw Fahrenheit 9/11 I figured it addressed some interesting topics, but dismissed it mainly as brainless emotional propaganda. It appeared that the movie was designed to mobilize voters to oppose Bush's re-election.

The FahrenHype 9/11 movie struck me as more grounded and less misleading. I guess that was the point of the movie, to paint Michael Moore as un-credible and it must have worked on me.

I have been watching a little Linktv, read and watched some Chomsky stuff and checked out some of the videos on this freespeech.org website. The conclusion I have come to is that the 'conservatives' and the 'progressives' both have their issues.

FarienHYPE 9/11

I just heard Michael Moore died while trying to stuff 4 baloney sandwiches down his throat at once!! Did any one else hear this???

FarienHYPE 9/11

I've got a copy from a friend, give me a couple days and I'll tell you what I think. I tried watching it the first time and got bored out of my mind. It's just a bunch of facts and interviews and junk. Stay tuned for more information.

FarienHYPE 9/11

It is good that a film so critical of the bush administration is gettting coverage. Screened all over the globe and in many different languages. The only question i ask is "did it acctually make a difference to American politics?"

FarienHYPE 9/11

Ok, I watched Fahrenheit 911 and tonight I watched FarenHYPE 911. I tried to watch it with an open mind an this filmed raised some doubts about information given in Moore's film. The whole plot of the film was discredit a few of Moore's points, discredit Moore, and linger on the thoughts of terrorism mostly and American freedom some. They basically interviewed:

Peter King - (R) Representative of the 3rd District in New York
Ed Koch - Former Mayor of New York City
Ed Sapp - USAF Ret. Defense Policy + Planning Analyst
Dick Morris - Former advisor to President Bill Clinton
Ron Silver - Actor
Stephen Emerson - Wrote "American Jihad"
David Frum - Former Special Assistant to President Bush
Ann Coulter - Author and Political Analyst
Zell Miller - (D) Sen. Georga
Jason Clarke and David T. Hardy - Authors of "Moore is a Big, Fat, Stupid White Man"

But I don't know who the narrarator was or who did the interviewing.

For some reason, these people always seemed to talk fast and they sounded defensive at times. As if they were very adament about what they were saying (clearly biased opinions?).

They introduce facts that I've never heard anywhere. So I don't know if they're pulling facts out of thin air or if the news sources I use don't cover that sort of stuff. Like:
they've found 300,000 bodies and are expected to find 1 million total in Iraq. Ed Koch said that after Iraq was liberated they found documents that show that France, Germany, Russia and China were bribed by Iraq to lift sanctions imposed against them by the U.N. Said the Ari Fleisher had a note that told Bush to stay seated and not to react.

Some quotes from the film:
After Andrew Card told President Bush that a second plane hit the towers. "The first thing that clicked in his mind was that this was an act of war."

"It's not a documentary, it's a lie!" - Ed Koch refering to Farenheit 911.

"He's unAmerican, unBritish - He must be French. - David T. Hardy

They talked about how good the Patriot Act was, allowing them to foil an attempted bombing of the Brooklyn Bridge.

Interviewed a soldier and the Oregon State Trooper who didn't know they were in the film and were upset about being in it. Interviewed families of deceased soldiers who were upset about the film who said their son or relative died fighting for what they believed.
They said that Sudam Hussein paid the families of Palistinian suicide bombers.

Then it ended with some soft music, it was borderline sad, feelgood if that's possible.

In my opinion it's a work of propaganda. It Bashed Moore, praised Bush, bashed Clinton and at points I got intrigued or upset. But I'm glad I watched it, cause now people can't call me biased for not watching both films. Even though I've never seen FarenHYPE in the stores (though I admit I never actively looked for it). In my opinion, take everything you see and hear with a grain of salt, just as you would in Moore's film, but despite it's uplifting sense that it tries to impart on you, FarenHYPE is very negative, unless you're a Conservative who hates Moore or thinks that the Bush administration is infallible.

That's my two cent's on the film and I hope that you educate yourselves and don't take what you hear at face value. Research it, because sometimes the media doesn't even do that.
