Gay USA Headline: For the Week of Aug. 28, 2007
In the Gay USA news summary this week:
This week, we do our best to put the breaking scandal around Idaho Sen. Larry Craig in perspective. As we were taping, Craig was making his denial of being gay, despite pleading guilty to "disorderly conduct" in a Minneapolis airport men's room after being arrested by a cop who said that Craig had signaled that he wished to engage in "lewd" conduct. Craig is an anti-gay crusader who has been denying gay rumors going back to 1982. We'll show you some news footage of that.
You can keep up with the scandal at www.blogactive.com which is the site of Mike Rogers who broke the Craig story last year.
We'll also show you a news report on protesters against Jamaican "murder music" in New York and a scene from what Ann thinks is the gayest musical of all time.
In our last twenty minutes, we will run the entire Hillary Clinton segment from the HRC/LOGO forum. And we hope to run more complete segments in subsequent weeks--at the end of the show so that those of you who have already seen them can skip them if you like and not miss any news.
This week’s full hour-long newscast is available in the Video Archive of www.freespeech.org.
