Give me one creative way to promote critical thinking...
It could be for a kids class or a festival or a health department or a bus ad or a church project...
(some ideas to follow)
- create more space to ask questions as a community and then to listen.
- start a Public Service Announcement Campaign - 'Do you pay to advertise?' or similar ( a public awareness of the silliness to buying branded product, to pay to advertise for a favored brand - and why)
- hold community carpool contests and examine the reasons behind encouraging carpooling
- teach people to take the time to ask the questions and really find out the answers
- deconstruct some of the commercial media bombarding our daily life
- hold community education sessions on how to create media with the most modern technology.
Please add your suggestion too!
Thanks.

Ask students/people to take a fashion/women's magazine like Cosmo, and analyze the messages that the images and articles are putting forth. They'll likely find that the message is liberation and success are gained through "getting a good man" and "looking hot". -learning to deconstruct the messages in media is important.
