I don't know if it's toxic per se. If injected, it is, but when digested, it becomes sodium and glutamic acid, both of which are in the short term harmless; sodium's actually an essential nutrient. But we get enough protein and to much sodium.
The best solution? If you have a problem with MSG, or an allergic reaction to soy, avoid all hydrolyzed proteins, MSG, and soy products, including soy protein isolate, hydrolyzed soy protein, margarine, soybean oil, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, fully hydrogenated soybean oil, tofu, miso, natto, edamame, tempeh, soymilk, soy-based meat substitutes (veggie burgers, veggie cheese, cultured soy)...The list is almost endless; soy is really a "hidden" dietary staple. There are no soybean festivals in rural America to my knowledge. Nor do most Americans recognize a soybean plant when they see one. Despite this, it's ubiquitous in junk food.

FIRST, I'm sorry for the excruciating pain you are in, I know how it feels, I WAS there many times.

Maybe not right away, but it will, and you know it. There is a personal study that you could try for yourself, to find out what is causing your migraines. Those that do test themselves, literally have no more "migraine" headaches, may get a small headache, but nothing that could be called a migraine.
