Former US lawmaker Cynthia McKinney, who is in an Israeli jail for trying to take humanitarian aid to Gaza, says the White House has done nothing to secure her release.
Speaking to Press TV from inside the Israeli jail, she said US taxpayers paid for Israel's 22-day war on the Gaza Strip.
“Operation Cast Lead was made possible by the US taxpayers' gift to the Israeli war machine in the form of F16s, helicopters gunship, white phosphorous, depleted uranium, cluster bombs and anything that kills," she told Press TV from inside the Israeli jail on Saturday.
McKinney has been in Israeli custody since Tuesday when she and 20 other humanitarian activists were arrested by the Israeli Navy while trying to take humanitarian aid to the besieged Gaza Strip.
She also criticized US President Barack Obama and his special envoy for their policies in the region, saying she was seeking to do what "neither President Obama nor his special envoy has done and that is to visit Gaza in the aftermath of Operation Cast Lead."
McKinney along with her group refused to sign a document admitting they violated Israel's blockade soon after they were taken to custody.
Family, friends and supporters say Cynthia McKinney believed she was in international waters and was free to pass.
"The Israelis hijacked us because we wanted to give crayons to the children of Gaza," McKinney said.
They are due to appear in an Israeli court on Sunday.

It's not surprising
Of course Washington will do nothing to free Cynthia McKinney. If she was in an Iranian or Pakistani prison, then America would be sending in the troops to release her...but when it comes to Israel, well, sadly, it looks like even the Great Black Hope, Obama, is in the pay of Zionist Nazis, and Israel can do no wrong, and is allowed to get away with genocide, ethnic cleansing, murder, piracy, kidnapping, wanton destruction of citizens' homes, theft of property and illegal settlement...and still, America turns a blind eye. But then, if you look at America's past with its history of black slavery, and ethnic cleansing / genocide of Native Americans, and theft of their lands, and illegal settlements. What can Americans say to Israelis when the Great United States of America was also created out of theft and genocide? And in 1948, America backed Zionists' theft of the land belonging to it's indigenous people, the Palestinians. So, naturally, Criminal America is obliged to back Criminal Israel, if it serves US imperialist aspirations.

Is one of the greatest women and US citizens there is. She went after the Zionists and tried to find out who was really behind 9/11 right from the beginning. The greedy lying war pigs who have taken over our nation then lambasted her and cheated America out of her seat in the peoples house which is now a house of ill reputed beast worshippers. We need a Nuremberg like trial and at least a thousand people who make millions and billions from war and health care for profit should be in prison for life. Let innocent nonviolent cannabis users out of prison and there will be plenty of room for the real criminals.

It`s disappointing and disturbing how Israel disrespects all human rights.She was the best straightforward lawmaker.Her honesty and humanity caused her arrest and expulsion from her job as a just lawmaker.Justice does not exist anymore in America and in every country of the world.President Obama should intervene to free Cynthia Mckinney.
