Halito,
Today I am bringing to your attention an Act of Congress which displaced the Choctaw people and allowed immigrants to fight the Choctaw Indians for lands which where owned
by these Indians.

It called the Armed Occupation Act of 1842,an Act of Congress.

you have a past

I was there I know what condition Iraq is in right now. If you read the forum i posted you will see my position on Iraq. At any rate, I have no power over Iraq, Being a soldier in the Army I hardly have power over my self. The government has heard all the arguments. Everything has been done that can be done to try to change thier minds. Congress cut spending on Iraq. The people have spoken. Aproval ratings are way down. aside from overthroughing the government the voice of the people has been quashed. (and by no means am i saying overthrow the govenment to create change). It's sad that the people of this country have no power. It shouldn't be that way. I'm not a politician, or a law major, or a lobbiest. I'm a soldier. I can't do anything but talk about what is wrong and send some letters to congress. Anything more than that and I would be violating USMJ.
This is my favorite thing to say. If you're going to put arguments out there. You have to back them up. In this case you would back up you're argument with ideas on how to change our current situation in the world. Without being stupid about it and saying nuke them all or somehting like that. And, It has to be original.
This is why... weather you believe it or not. The internet is a great voice. Politicians, cabinet members, govenment officials all read stuff on the net. By putting original ideas out there, we just might get lucky and strike a nerve in someone who can make a difference in this country. When you only complain about things and don't give credible solutions to the problems you are only bitching. When you do give credible solutions...now you are no longer a part of the problem now you are in maybe the slightest way adding to the solution of the problem. One thing my NCO's told me in IRAQ... Don't be afraid to point something out that may have been overlooked by everyone else. Becuase there is always that chance that you will bring new light to a situation.
We as human beings have been blessed with the power of free will. Now im not talking in the biblical sense if you don't believe in that. I'm saying that we have all these animals in this world and we are the only ones that can organize and evolve intelectually. Let's do that. Let's be constructive with our views and not destructive.

Constructive Progress has not been made to date

Thanks you for your comments but you are talking to the choir. (5 U.S. Statutes 502)

To date, we are in communications with the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs, dealing with the many years it takes to receive recognition from the BIA.

Although, there are treaties regarding the Choctaw Nation of Florida, we still have to go through a process which has been ongoing for 5 years.

At this time, our lands are being taxed by eminient domain occupations, which do not follow the statutes regarding "Historical Indian habitations by ethnic people."

These properties are suppose to be exempt from taxation. However, the State of Florida, does not care because they have a small budget this year. So they do not want to remove indian habitations from the occupation-property appraiser tax rolls.

A request has been made to many representatives, state of Florida Revenue department, and the Tax board, no respect for Florida statute 267.021(3), by any of them.

We also met with the Finance and Taxation committee, Senator Geller, was lived that we not receive auto tags which would correctly Identify our tribal members based on Public Law 83-280. However, we did get it on the record and then they canceled that days agenda.

Go to www.Fl.senate.gov
See Bill 1268 and 1007,
there was a news article in the Tallahassee Democrat about the Confederates on Choctaw Tribe bill.

This will only give an excuse to law enforcement to violate Public Law 83-280, because no tags. However, the other Indian tribes, Seminole and Miccouskee have the auto tags.

The U.S. constitution, does not allow a state to tax, or oblige a vessel going in and out of ports, of another state.

An Indian Tribe is a State...see treaties which are covered in U.S. Constitution title 22.

So, I hope this gives you some idea about the Indigenous people efforts to give solutions about the damage to our nation's people by anyone that comes to this country as an immigrant.

Choctaw American National

Without a past you have no future

Do you see what's going on in other countries, especially in Iraq?

It is a pattern of behavior, and yes it is still on the books.

Choctaw American National

hmm

And this law is still in place? If it is it needs to change, but if it isn't? Move on! Look to the future my friend not the past.
