Video: James Blunt - No Bravery

I used Windows Movie Maker to create the above. The only reason I used such a buggy, crash-prone program was to demonstrate to my computer students how it could be used. They have recently undertaken some projects on it. I downloaded the images (all except the last, of course) from various sites dedicated to remembering the horrific scenes that the Corporate media refuses to show Americans. I got pics of James Blunt from a CD my wife bought.

If you search GoogleVideo or the other free video hosting sites you'll find other versions of the concept (No Bravery song + Iraq war images). I saw one which flashed up a pic of George Bush every time the lyric "he has been here" occurs. I chose not to do that, for several reasons. First of all, George Bush never visited the scenes of human misery his war caused; all his Iraq visits have been sanitized pep rallies before carefully chosen soldier-supporters. Second, to equate the "he" of "he has been here" with Dubya does not allow one to insert their own alternative interpretation of "he" (e.g. war, death, hate, evil, etc.).

Finally, http://peacetakescourage.cf.huffingto... has an animation containing even more heart-wrenching pictures, set to "Jesus Loves Me," and is way more hard-hitting than mine, in a different way. Check it out.

that was really powerful
