I want to volunteer for a year or two does anyone know of any valid volunteer sites? I know some organizations give stipends and provide living arrangements.

My name is keeesha and I am looking to start a non-profit group that caters to activism. I am currently stuck in Mississippi and theirs not much going on around here these days. I have an out line on how to write grants but I'm not sure how to get started. I don't no how to do "good" research so if someone could give me some tips or advice that would be great.
