50,008 words!

Whoo Hoo! I won National Novel Writing Month! I made it! Okay so the novel\'s not actually finished, but I crossed the 50,000 word count. And I\'m eating my cake goddamn it.

The strange thing is after I uploaded the rough draft to the nanowrimo website, I felt more depressed than giddy. Seriously, I think I thought my life would be full of nothing but giddy moments once I finally finished a novel. Oh well. I then read that Truman Capote compared finishing a novel to taking your favorite child outside and shooting it in the head. Ah, Truman. That made me feel better.
