With all due respect to Anna.

I took a trip over to Foxnews.com to see what they want to tell us is happening in the world today to learn that Anna Nicole Smith had died. I anxiously awaited seeing any report of the butchering of 45 women children and old people in an airstrike today, instead I found gossip. Maybe I missed it. Anyway this is perfect for the neo-cons over there at Fox. When her son died all reports of the war were postponed indefinitely. One American dies and it's a disaster. Americans murder 45 innocent people in their homes and that's just skippy. This is the bottom line for me. This is why I have no pride as an American, among other reasons. One point I want to hammar home is that an American is not more important than any other person from any other country, and vice versa. I'm sorry for the loss, but not so stuck with grief that it consumes my interest in the world.

First, I want to make it absolutely clear that this is NOT directed to anyone here on this site. It is however a problem many people in the movement tend to ignore. Mostly I'm going after hardcore "peace activists". Those that are trying to create a cult through the cause. Remember folks, capitalism is weird. When I wrote this I sent it to a friend and he hasn't returned any calls since. He's what I call a "Neo-Hippie". Anyway, enough explaining myself. -------

Those of you that know me either personally or through my thoughts and writings on whichever forum I'm in the mood for at the time know this about me but for those of you that don't. I'm a huge HUGE sucker for quotations. A lot of times people have said things, (sometimes thousands of years ago) that I could never have said better. This is just a short compilation of my favorites said by some of my favorite people, and some people I don't particularly aggree with or even respect at all. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I do.

Wow, we are a dumb people. I sincerely hope all the "panic" in Boston was part of the advertisement strategy. If not, then I didn't know our collective stupidity went this far. Seems we have a hell of a lot more work to do than we ever thought.

I sent this email just about 45 seconds ago to the following recipients upon learning that a story by Lara Logan wasn't put on the air because CBS had 'already covered enough of the war in Iraq in the program', and it was 'a bit strong for the American people'.

Tomorrow is one of the great days of the Ameican calender. Tomorrow we celebrate one of the finest men to ever walk the Earth. He freed his people through non-violent means, and was able to change minds (much like my own) with words instead of guns. He loved, and shall be loved for all time. This all being said and true, he was murdered, like so many others. Tomorrow is a happy day though. I will rise with great thoughts of the future and no sorrow for the past. Men like him walk/walked the same Earth as you and I. For this we should be proud. We should have hope.
