Justice for what?

Justice For All, a non-profit organization sponsored by Pro-Life Ambassadors held an exhibit that displayed twenty plus foot images of aborted fetuses and other gut churning pictures. Using the public venue, JFA used the public, high traffic venue to spark up conversation about the “dangers” and moral aspects of abortion. While their opinion is completely their right, JFA accomplished something other than sparking conversation. They offended many students, some who signed a petition asking JFA not to come back.
“I almost lost my lunch.” EJ, a student of the school commented. Many students felt the content was inappropriate and vulgar and the members of JFA to be harassing and offensive. While the members were asking for student responses to the exhibit, they failed to provide any solid information regarding abortions at all. Instead most of their information consisted of opinionated and strongly religious comments. They said the purpose of their show was to enlighten people about the dangers and “horrific” reality of abortions, and also to shock and scare some girls into abstinence.
Naral America is a pro-choice organization and had representatives present at the exhibit. “The actions of JFA are educationally disruptive, and inconvenient.” Said a representative who wished to remain anonymous. After assuring I was from Free Speech TV and not a solicitor from JFA looking for a sabotage opportunity she explained that fanatical organizations usually distort the truth and use scare tactics to force others to see their views. While providing citing information about abortions, they admitted that abortions are best done in the first term of pregnancy. Information can be found at www.naral.org.
People like JFA shouldn’t be allowed on school venues without proven supporting documentation to such a serious cause. They use harassing comments and try to simplify a complicated issue. Women should not be forced to have unwanted children; especially those produced through rape or incest. Schools in America should emphasize the importance of contraception and other safe sex practices, including abstinence. Also, using photos that are completely unrelated to abortions such as holocaust photos and electrocution prisoners is wrong. The facts are important.
The restricting views of organizations such as Justice For All and their religious bias may also be a reason for their desperate attempt for attention. While they believe life begins at conception and have no flexibility on the issue of unwanted pregnancies, they try to disregard the rights of conscious human beings for reasons that are beneficial to no one.You can see the Justice For all display at http://www.jfaweb.org/.
