Law Enforcement Against Prohibition

LEAP's Mission Statement

Founded on March 16, 2002, LEAP is made up of current and former members of law enforcement who believe the existing drug policies have failed in their intended goals of addressing the problems of crime, drug abuse, addiction, juvenile drug use, stopping the flow of illegal drugs into this country and the internal sale and use of illegal drugs. By fighting a war on drugs the government has increased the problems of society and made them far worse. A system of regulation rather than prohibition is a less harmful, more ethical and a more effective public policy.

The mission of LEAP is to reduce the multitude of unintended harmful consequences resulting from fighting the war on drugs and to lessen the incidence of death, disease, crime, and addiction by ultimately ending drug prohibition.

LEAP's goals are: (1) To educate the public, the media, and policy makers, to the failure of current drug policy by presenting a true picture of the history, causes and effects of drug abuse and the crimes related to drug prohibition and (2) To restore the public's respect for law enforcement, which has been greatly diminished by its involvement in imposing drug prohibition.

LEAP's main strategy for accomplishing these goals is to create a constantly enlarging speakers bureau staffed with knowledgeable and articulate former drug-warriors who describe the impact of current drug policies on: police/community relations; the safety of law enforcement officers and suspects; police corruption and misconduct; and the financial and human costs associated with current drug policies.

The real problem with pot

The real problem with pot marijuana whatever name you want to use is that it gives the person using it their mind back. Before I started smoking it about 4 years ago I was royally Fucked up in my head. Now thanks to smoking weed I have fundamentally taken back what belongs to me my mind. That is what these jackasses in the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT don't want to happen. We can't have a society where the people think for themselves we want mindless robots that we can control. For if the people were to know the truths about what is going on they would lose control of this nation. The people might take back their nation from the corporations and other lying people such as congress. They don't want us the people to know that our forefathers of this nation not only GREW it but they ENJOYED SMOKING it as well. George Washington our first President and many others at the time. There is not ONE death on record from smoking weed but look at the countless deaths that are caused by PRESCRIPTION DRUGS and ALCOHOL. Thomas Jefferson Also grew pot on his plantations and enjoyed smoking it every chance he got that was in his diary. So I guess what I am trying to say is that the people who fought and died to make this a great nation where wrong in OUR FEDERAL GOVERMENTS EYES because they grew and smoked this weed! I know a couple of NARCS that have even admitted that weed is not a GATEWAY DRUG. Most of the people who smoke it do so because it happens to be the only thing that balances us out. I am sick and tired of these people of have never smoked it in their lives telling everyone else that it is bad for you. Most of the people that I know that smoke weed started on harder shit and than chose to try pot and that worked better for them. You will NEVER WIN THE WAR on Drugs. They won't legalize it because where would they find all of the cheap labor. By putting our fellow brothers and sisters in jail for non-violent drug crimes they actully make money. The State gets money for the work that the inmates are forced to do while they are locked up. Inside tip from a Narc friend of mine the only way that they can get the drugs that they use to catch the big players is to harrass the rest of the small time players. Meaning they the POLICE can't go and buy the drugs on the street they have to use the stuff they get in raids. According to him half of what is siezed is used for personal use by these DEA agents as well as the police force. Another thing just where in the HELL is the Federal Government given the right to tell a Human Being what they can and can't put into their own body. As long as a person doesn't hurt another living soul they should be allowed to do whatever drugs they want to. I mean come on now they pump people full of their SHITTY Prescription drugs that do more HARM than Good and these Drug Companies get away with killing countless people every year.

massachusetts drug rehab

An addiction treatment program can offer critical support as well as important tools to promote a healthy and sustainable recovery. Without these tools, a person can stop using alcohol but continue to repeat the same unhealthy behavior patterns. The person may simply replace the alcohol addiction with other unhealthy addictions.

I don't think legalization

I don't think legalization is feasible simply because people as a a group tend to act opportunistic and individualistic. Even though there is a theoretical way in which legalizing certain drugs would be way better than wasting money punishing people for them, it will never work because there's a whole "prisoner's dilemma" issue here.

What should be done then?

Just removing marajuana from the list of controlled substances will free up roughly $14 billion dollars in administrative, legal and incarceration costs. That alone could go the drug rehabilitation and drug education. But not all of it should go that way, because that money can also go toward handling the cost of medical complications that stem from alcohol related activities. That money can go toward increasing the productivity of working Americans by improving health care and lowering health care cost.
As far as a prisoner dilemma, a whole sector of the working poor population usually gets to go to prison and have a record, because some greedy ass bastard named William Randolph Hurst saw his profit threatened by cheap paper made from hemp and decided he wanted his forrest interests protected from competition. The marajuana laws are meant to subjugate an entire class of people, the poor. The only thing that makes sense is that the laws makes an entirely separate economy that relies on turning peace officers into bullies for the state.

This is a very complicated

This is a very complicated matter and I think we are missing the main point here. Instead of searching for the guilty people we should focus on helping people struggling with drug addiction. Giving them a hand in such moments is the best thing we can do.

The Crime of Prohibition is Addictive

Ken Driessen

Sadistic hypocritical swine like George W. Bush promote prohibition and prisons for profit so Dicky boy Cheney can make money from torturing people in US prisons. GW admitted he smoked pot and did coke while being interviewed by Doug Wead. Marijuana, raw cocaine leaves, and opium are certainly %100 undenyably constitutionally legal:

Article the third [Amendment I]

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

I'm a human and a pagan and a shaman in training. God is nothing more than a lie forced upon the people in order to justify the collection of taxes and the shifting of wealth from the workers to anal retentive elitist bad spawn. As a religion, I have a right to use all herbs on the face of all Earth.

Article the sixth [Amendment IV]

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

I have a right to be secure in my person and that certainly includes injesting what ever substance I think is beneficial to my person. Effects are personal belongings. People who steal my personal belongings under the color of the law are treasonous fascist violent thugs and when enough people realize this we will try and arrest them for their crimes and if they choose to die it is their own choice, the prohibitionists are treasonous criminals who violate thier oaths of office in in conspiracy to make the constitution void.

Article the seventh [Amendment V]

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

What in the Name of nature and nature's god is life, liberty, and property if it is not the right to injest what ever herb you choose? I agree that as well as with alcohol consumption, the roadways must be protected against intoxicated persons driving vehicles. I have never been charged with driving under the influence of marijuana, which I will concede, does fit into the constitution. I have been beaten, arrested, jailed, fined and had my property stolen underfalse pretenses of Nazi Fascit totalitarian prohibition. They are criminals and they deserve to be prosecuted and held accoutable for their theivery and their acts of treason against the constitution.

Well, I could continue, but if one is not convinced of the crimes of prohibition thus far, nothing will convince them because they have either been brainwashed beyond enlightenment or are receiving the benefits of illegal prohibition booty. Prohibition is just one facet of a mafia, fascist nazi like element of humanity that has overthrown our Constitutional Republic. When enough people realize this, the majority will will offer them a chance to resign and turn themselves in to be judged by a court with a valid constitution. If they refuse, which I expect them to do, then I will join the militia and I will do my best to kill as many of the Nazi pigs as I can before I die.

Prohibition is just one way the elitist, straussian, neo-capitalist swine enslave us in unconstitutional un-American CRIMINAL ways. The Federal Reserve, a private bank, laoning money to us is unconstitutional and criminal. If you can't see and understand these words you are either a willing slave or a pompus pig master. If you don't like marijuana, coke or opium you don't have to use it. Think about it....
