My Individual, Personal Declaration of Independence

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one individual to dissolve the political, economic & social bands which have connected them with others, and to assume among the powers of the earth and universe, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle that individual human, a decent respect to the opinions of humankind requires that individual to declare the causes which impel them to this separation.

I hold these truths to be self-evident, that all humans are created equal, that each individual human is endowed by their Creation & existence with certain inherent unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these inherent rights, Governments can be/are instituted among humans, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed humans, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the individual human to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to the individual human shall seem most likely to effect that individual humans Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that humankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves, individually or collectively by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpation, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.--Such has been the patient sufferance of this sovereign human individual; and such is now the necessity which constrains me to alter my formerly accepted Systems of Government. The history of the present United States of America is a history of repeated injuries and usurpation, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over this sovereign. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

They have/continue to refused to Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.
They have/continue to forbidden its Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till its Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, they have utterly neglected to attend to them.
They have /continue to refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.
They have /continue to called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.
They have /continue to hold important legislative meetings in secret or when the majority of their challengers will be away, they make unilateral decisions that benefit only them & their allies.
They have dissolved/manipulated/corrupted/intimidated Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness their invasions on the rights of the people.
They have refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, continue to cause others to be elected; whereby the Legislative powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.
They have/continue to endeavored to prevent the sovereign population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.
They have/continue to obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers, manipulating/bribing/intimidating/corrupting and otherwise controlling the judiciary branch of their government so that now there is no justice left within in for any but those who have perverted it in the first place & their allies.
They have/continue to make Judges dependent on their Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.
They have/continue to erect a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our sovereign people, and eat out/enslave their substance.
They have/continue to kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures, without the consent of their people, from whom they receive their power, both here domestically & abroad in foreign lands..
They have/continue to affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power.
They have/continue to combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:
For Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:
For protecting them, by a mock Trial, from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:
For deceptively & irresponsibly manipulating individual & collective Trade with all parts of the world:
For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:
For depriving individuals in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury, or increasingly more common, any trail at all:
For transporting individuals beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offenses imprisoning individuals in torture camps like Guantanamo Bay & Abu Grab
For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighboring Province, establishing therein an Arbitrary government, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into these Colonies:
For taking away Charters, abolishing the most valuable Laws, and altering/twisting/warping/perverting fundamentally the Forms of Governments:
For suspending Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for me in all cases whatsoever. (in the interest of homeland security)
They have/continue to threaten sovereigns with abdicated Government here, by declaring me out of his Protection and waging War against us, as if we were terrorist like them..
They have/continue to plundered the earth's seas, ravaged the Coasts, burnt/bombed towns, and destroyed the lives of people and the vast & infinite other inhabitant species upon this planet.
They have/continue at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to compleat the works of death, desolation and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation. Foreign prisons like Guantanamo/Abu Grab.
They have/continue constraining my fellow Citizens taken Captive to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioner of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.
They have/continue to excited domestic insurrections amongst people & nations, and has endeavored to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless foreign soldiers/martyrs, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.

In every stage of these Oppression the people have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: The repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free & sovereign people, of which I am one..

Nor have I been wanting in attentions to my American/International brethren. I have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. I have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. I have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and I have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpation, which, would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. I must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as I hold the rest of humankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.

I, therefore, the Representative of the my own individual personal Sovereignty & existence reality, in general, appeal to the Supreme Judge of the natural world for the rectitude of my intentions, and do, in the Name, and by Authority of my individual, personal sovereign representation, solemnly publish and declare, That I am as of this moment a Sovereign Individual Human, and as such, of Right ought to be Free and Independent of any authority other than my own; that I am Absolved from all Allegiance to the United States Of America, and that all political, economic & social connection between myself and the United States of America, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as a Free and Independent Sovereign, I have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, negotiate & contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent Sovereigns may of right do. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of natures divine Providence, I pledge to my individual, personal sovereign existence, my fortunes and my sacred honor.

Declaration of Individual Sovereignty

When in the course of my life it becomes necessary for me
to dissolve the connections I have with particular groups,
organizations, and other individuals, and to assume among
the powers of the universe the separate and sovereign
station to which I may choose to aspire, respect for the
opinions of other individuals requires that I declare the
causes which impel me to this separation.

I hold that no truths are self-evident, but must have their
usefulness demonstrated. I am free from tyranny, but
frequently accept the limitations implied and exerted by
other individuals. I have no rights. And the universe owes
me nothing. I accept only those obligations I choose,
through wisdom or folly, for gain or for loss. I can
secure for myself those opportunities that best enable me
to live in desired harmony with other individuals.
Whenever any person, group, organization, or other entity,
not fully recognizing my unique nature and situation,
becomes in any way oppressive or destructive, I may choose
to ignore, counter, or abolish such a force, and live in
whatever manner I decide will produce what I require for my
survival and happiness. I can choose to resolve any
conflict through intelligence, reason, and practicality,
with adequate communication and understanding of every
point of view involved, if I am willing.

Prudence dictates that I should not change long-established
relationships for light and transient causes, but only
after calm consideration of the alternatives, and the
mutual goals of everyone involved. Experience has shown
that I am often disposed to suffer evils while they are
tolerable, rather than correct myself by abolishing the
negative influences to which I am accustomed. But when a
long train of abuses and usurpation evinces a design to
reduce me to involuntary servitude under absolute despotism
or some set of beliefs which I have not freely chosen, it
is my choice to throw off such influences and to accept
responsibility for my own future security.

The most apparent difficulty herein lies in my previous
unwillingness to understand the specific direction of my
unique being, or, understanding it, to make the firm
resolve necessary to break free from the shackles of
cultural conditioning and arbitrary beliefs accepted
through poorly considered influences.

Therefore, I now declare my individual autonomy & sovereignty,
and am faced with the potentially arduous & challenging task of
self-examination and change, compounded by the resistance
encountered from those who oppose the new behavior engendered
by this declaration. But the rewards of this liberation are
enormous, being the very fulfillment of my own nature, and
therefore the nature of my life as a whole. I accept this
self-responsibility independently and of my own resolve,
and do so for my own enduring advantage.

The actions against me by those who function under the
auspices of governments, religions, other institutions, and
themselves are: laws, cultural norms, taboos, peer
pressures, moral codes and other influences limiting my
freedom in action, speech, worship, and thought.

Various assumptions, models, and systems are necessary for
my harmonious growth among other individuals, but in all
things these must be my own choice. If I choose to assist
and or cooperate with others for specific purposes and
under delineated restrictions, or choose to stand apart
from all others, then I am free to do so. My purpose will
still respect, allow, and not interfere with, the differing
beliefs, actions, and behaviors of those who remain
separate from me.

In the same manner, this declaration is intended to apply
only to me because I alone freely choose to accept it as
being beneficial or useful in the attainment of my own
goals.

I accept responsibility for my own life and the governing there of,
and therefore publish and declare that I am free, independent and sovereign.
I am absolved from allegiance to any dogma, system or code that
I have not chosen for myself. As an individual I have full
power to wage war, conclude peace, negotiate and contract alliances,
establish commerce and do anything else that I can and
choose to do of my own free will.
