Harris County Jail Protest Rally
From Jena 6 to Harris County crucifix,—hog tying is the cross; jailers are the allege killers.
To address “hog tying and Black men dying,” Minister Quanel X led throngs of Houston protestors in a rally, Sunday, April 27th. Protestors rallied in front of the Harris County jail; lifting their voices in unison, “No justice! No peace!” Among the protestors were the widower of Clarence Freeman; and the mother of Patrick Murphy.
Young Patrick Murphy was gunned down in 2006. Clarence Freeman witnessed the murder. He phoned his wife, and said, “I saw a child get killed, and I’m going to stay on the scene until law enforcement arrives and tell them what I saw.” In Mr. Freeman’s effort to speak for the young victim and bring his murder to the seat of justice; Clarence became a homicide victim of the Harris County Jail. Clarence Freeman went to jail on a hot check and got the death penalty.
In 07’ New Years Eve; Clarence and a jailer had an altercation. Clarence was brutally beaten, strangled, choked, and hog tied. Clarence was in LBJ County Hospital for five days before Harris County Sheriff officials contacted his wife. Five days later; Mrs. Freeman became a widower. To add insult to injury peep the video and see the degrading and demeaning memoirs given to Mrs. Freeman by Harris County Sheriff Department. Protestors are seeking national media attention to Harris County death penalty.
