From Socrates to Insanity

From the malignancy of Rupert Murdoch to the
murderous (under-reported) air strikes on civilians in Iraq, Afghanistan,
even villagers in Pakistan (again!), we seem to be hurtling hopelessly to
the brink. Yet the closer the cliff, the more we succumb to distraction,
delusion, titillation and denial. You can’t start wars and stop emissions at
the same time – it’s a contradiction. (Just like a President saying that we
don’t torture, and that we do torture ...and hoping no-one notices). Is the
end game looming, or are we at the beginning of a new beginning?
