Time for Change Protestors Rang

What time is it…? Does anybody care? Houston demonstrators care and Dustin Daniels News Reporter for KPFT (90.1fm) reports what time it is according to Houston protestors. After all; Dustin is Houston’s best news reporter on social activism.

“Does anybody really know what time it is?” a popular tune from the 70’s past by Chicago Band. The song could easily have been the theme song for the “Houston demonstrators on Monday, June 23rd. The demonstration kicked off at 5pm.

“Time for change!” protestors rang.  In a melodious, unison rhythm, Marchers’ resonates “Tommie must go! When? Now! Who got to go? Tommie must go!”

If time is of essence; angry fed-up protestors see November too far in the distant for the Sheriff to maintain his position. Watch the video. The Demonstration speaks for itself. Yes! The corrupt saga continues and the Judah Praise of marchers rally forward to bring down the corrupt walls of jailers and court officials. Protestors’ declares a change in the Bayou judicial system.  Crooked dealings conducted by the sheriff; and district attorney office has reached a disturbing peak and Houstonians declares that it’s time for a change and implore Tommie Thomas, Harris County Sheriff to relinquish his post.  Minister Quanel and the Ibarra brothers addressed the corruption and execution of the human spirit fueled by Harris County Sheriff Department.

“Time for a Change” is a 7minute,:31second production that centers on” TIME.” Time brings about a change and leads us to the Constitution. “The people’s right to assemble” reiterates Rev. Gilmore. Time awarded some protestors to share personal testimonies of unjust treatment by Houston’s law enforcement. The Ibarra brothers who sued and won their civil case against the Harris County Sheriff Department are among the speakers of grassroots and religious community leaders. One community leader re-emphasized the distinct reason for the protest, “we are not here advocating for criminals engaged in criminal activity, we are here because those who protect us are acting like criminals. Signs of the time; has Houstonians demanding a change in the city’s sheriff and judicial court system.

Amongst the throngs of journalists; Dustin Daniels, stayed the entire time reporting this high profile coverage. The task of a journalist has to balance coverage, patience and deadline in the framework of time.

I had to decide whether to title article “Time for Change” or “Dustin Daniels on social activism.” Henceforth, I combined the two topics within the framework of time allotted. Both topics united into oneness just like the unified demonstrators that protested Monday, June 23rd.

Come let’s watch the video “Time for Change!”  For quality viewing, make sure your media browser buffer one good time.  Thank You!
