Though it has begun quietly, in profound mass, and squelched into a talking point, worldwide protest against George Bush's policies and the calculated alteration to America by his neo-conservative agenda does exist and is gaining momentum.
The arrogance by this administration is dumbfounding to our honest eyes and ears. The questions as to how and why those who profit from war, desecrate our innocent environment and take this country backward, retain their positions of power without reprimand, censure or prosecution is a travesty to our judicial system.
The propaganda of distraction is a successful tool of the power within the neo-conservative authority. The obvious example of corporate media control is proven daily by the abandonment of the press in honestly reporting on citizen protests, adequate footage of the United States occupation in Iraq, and the environmentally destructive policies radically implemented by those set out to fleece our land, water and atmosphere for profit.
It is evident that if we do have an intelligent turn in leadership, Americans must demand a great reversal of every appointment, law and proposal set forth by the Bush Administration. We must demand an inquiry into the prevalent cronyism throughout this government, introduce new guidelines and intellectual standards to those appointed to posts that seriously affect the public good and the general welfare of our natural world. With certainty, this will be remembered as the darkest days in American history. A time when distraction engaged stupidity and fear postponed a nation to fulfill a promise to be great.
