View of Reality

Persons are being forced to endure great risk to their physiological health that does not exclude death (sudden at worst or a foreshortened future at best) - a statement fully supported by objective science. This is happening to persons because their view of reality does not fall within the socially-constructed parameters that borders the perspective of their neighbours. In other words, their view of reality lies outside the statistical based norms for behaviour in accordance with the subjective opinion of an Institutional Psychiatrist (Biopsychiatry).(1)

Without objective science support, people’s minority viewpoint - their thoughts and feelings or personhood is being labeled diseased by bio psychiatric opinion of their brain as being diseased, due to its capacity to \"think outside the box\" of acculturation, i.e. nonconformist to indoctrinated thoughts instilled in the populace to produce a false social unity via sameness. Bio psychiatry’s medical model is therefore discrimination, but rather than be recognized as criminal behaviour, the medical model is supported by the force of law to maintain a majority opinion encompassing the definition and characterization of reality. A persons’s non-conformity to social constructs is considered to threaten the unity of the whole through the perceived critique inherent in their existence. Bio psychiatry has stepped into the socio-political realm as agency for the manufacture of a discrimination policy, as if it were skin colour that was being denigrated, ostracised and negated. The difference here is that people of a different skin colour cannot change their skin, whereas people of a different way of thinking can be made to change their thoughts. Bio psychiatry is that which society threatens its citizenry with, in order to enforce a social/political status quo - out of fear for change.

Most people recognize – intuitively, that because every human is uniquely different from every other human - it is irrational to deny human difference, by the practice of enforcing sameness to a single model for human expression, as only a prevailing consensus can be achieved on any subject. The medical model of bio psychiatry is actually ritualized abuse/assault and humiliation by those with power-over, granted by the force of law, to wield it as a weapon against whomsoever they deem has expressed non-conformity to standardized acculturation or self-determination, i.e. is characterized by a capacity for freedom, love, and creativity or nurturance, as recognized in their behavioural difference.

Via a mental health industry practitioner’s subjective opinion, it is the variable content of people’s unconscious, foundational to their view of reality, which is being forced to change in a breakdown of their will by the medical model of psychiatry. In addition, by the same agency, it is the structure of people’s brain that is an evolutionary constant, which is blamed by the medical model of psychiatry for the content of the unconscious. Bio psychiatry’s view of reality is both intuitively and scientifically – irrational and proven to be false, as well as discriminatory.

In a diversity of cultures, law and social belief systems are rooted in common historical precedent. Good health symbolizes goodness or blessed out of divine recognition as to the exercise of righteous moral conduct, regardless of actual behaviour or reality. Bad health symbolizes badness or sanctioned out of divine recognition as to the aberrancy of evil moral conduct, regardless of actual behaviour or reality.

George Lakoff, Professor of Linguistics at the University of California at Berkeley and a Senior Fellow of the Rockridge Institute, explains in Parenting: A Metaphor for Government two basic assumptions of the strict father model with the second flowing out of the first, best expressed in the analogy “spare the stick and spoil the child”. 1) Children are born ‘full of sin’ or ‘bad’ and 2) Children must be taught right from wrong (absolutism). The presumption is that it is required of the child to be obedient to the superior’s ordained morality based on fear of pain exercised by that authority. Corporal punishment is believed to be an exercise in internal discipline making us obedient to moral action. The strict father model for governance presumes that, by this form of internalised discipline, the child learns to pursue personal self-interest and thereby become prosperous and self-reliant.

Mental Health Industry exercise of a Community Treatment Order is the weaponry used to force people to submit to wounding by neuroleptic drugs (major tranquilizer) backed up by ECT under threat of incarceration in a psychiatric institution (instead of the community) a community retraumatisation or a nullification of their human right not to be abused and assaulted. Through bio psychiatric belief systems, professionally maintained mental health industry supports are set out in accordance with the policies and procedures akin to the Classical Criminological Theorem, wherein punishment is swift, strict - and fair from the perspective of the punisher whose ulterior motives must remain unquestioned. The strict parental model for government instructs ongoing community retraumatisation via criminalization by the agency of bio psychiatry, that is productive of and entrenchment of – mental distress or psychosocial disability.

In the aforementioned text George Lakoff also explained the nurturant parent model (Notice it is gender neutral.) for Government, which assumes that 1) Children are born ‘full of goodness or good’. 2) Nurturance is a common precondition for caring about others. Our moral responsibility is to be a happy, fulfilled person to protect and to support others to be happy and fulfilled. To be happy and fulfilled in life we must be self-determining individuals, therefore freedom is a value, which can only be attained with opportunity and prosperity, so fairness is a value. To empathise there must be an open, two-way communication. Therefore, trust, honesty, and open communication are fundamental progressive values. In addition, to provide the necessary wholesome, supportive community - community-building, service to the community and prudence in a community become nurturant values.

Bio psychiatry’s modeling the patrilineal ideal of adult male is analogous to the strict father model. By government sponsor through force of law, its ritualized authority follows the familial rule of absolutism. Its discrimination persists in denial of the harms inherent to corporal punishment, e.g. drugs/ECT. Independent objective science tells us that medical disease and shortened life span is actually unavoidable due to the very nature of the drugs and electricity impacting against the brain, and in the case of SSRIs, impacting against whole body systems.

(Ex)user/consumer survivors are not fighting against community retraumatisation by the mental health industry’s legal right of substituted decision-making; so much as people expect to receive and are appealing for – the nurturant parenting model of community support that is supported decision-making.
