Limbo
Limbo is a very difficult state to live in for a long period of time. It is a lot of the reason People are getting more and more to the explosive point. They live in a world totally incongruent to what is supposed to be and if they stand up against it they do so mostly alone. The system swallows them up and spits them out, hoping against hope they broke another one.
Those People rise, and try again. They aren't quitters, for they learned that AmeriCans aren't quitters. They get up and the next time they have to make a stand, they do so.
The same process happens.
They make a stand, mostly alone, get beaten up in whatever way that exists.
They wonder why. Why do I keep fighting for this nation and its ideals when so few care? Why am I bothering when so many just want to exist in this state of limbo...
a place where the knowledge of better ways exist and the ways are known,
but there is a sense of paralysis for change,
of being a part of the change.
What if I do it wrong?
What if I don't know what I know?
What if it isn't better on the other side?
Maybe this is all there is,
just hell on earth.
Maybe all those good things I heard about don't really exist.
What is freedom anyhow?
If the concept exists, why can't the reality of it exist?
Why is there so many doomsayors,
and so few
that look and work towards the solutions?
When is talking enough,
and doing is finally what is to happen?
Limbo-
the step
as you step off the abyss,
and glide into the sky.
Limbo.
The suspended state before you fly.
Limbo-
a state
that at last has to move on to it's next step:
Flying.
Freefalling through one's own life.
Daring to do
against all odds.
Daring to dream
and know
it CAN come true.
Especially
when the Dream is of a higher purpose
way,
way
beyond you.
Utopia-
a state of perfection.
Why scoff at the good, saying
"ha, ha,
it does not exist.
Fools,to even try!"
Well,
I know Utopia does exist.
There are moment which are so exquisitely mine
totally I am in this life.
Moments
that are all I could ever wish.
I have absolutely Utopian moments now that I have worked to create my life.
Another lie I learned is a lie-to say something does not exist just because they themselves haven't experienced it.
I learned to lsiten to People,
and to judge less.
Oh, yes, I have judged,
and harshly,
for all my life I was judged,
no matter what i did.
It is judgement to deny another their freedom, just becuase you do not know what another knows.
Why not learn to listen
and instead of scoffing,
learn.
Listen.
Our ears-two we have.
Let us all
learn to listen,
and let us all
let each other speak.
You see, I heard the words
so long ago,
read to me by my Father.
"Seek and ye shall find."
It matters not who said it.
It matters not.
What matters
is
it was said.
Wise words.
Words that have forged my life.
Seek Freedom.
Give freedom,
Live Freedom.
Learn Freedom.
Then
you may feel shame
and humility
for scoffing at the good.
and pride,
that you could learn from your mistakes,
for this is us humans.
We screw up,
we fall,
we do stupid things.
we all make mistakes.
This is a world, a government entity
which no longer acknowledges their mistakes.
They have become stupid
for it is by our mistakes we learn.
We do not need rulers who have chosen the road of stupidity and greed. We do not need them. We know that. It is why we have been writing milions, billions of words. I have done the same.
There are not so many words in the answers.
The answers are simple.
First,
must come the individual.
First,
each individual must be given their value.
That is where it must start,
continue,
and never end.
Each human being conceived on this earth must be accorded their space and place in this universe,
and responsibility for this being must become known.
Those are laws of freedom.
The knowledge fo freedom must be given
by each who learn of them.
It is a responsibility that when we are given knwoledge of ways to achieve balance on this earth,
it is not knowledge we are allowed to keep for ourselves.
All of us have the answers.
We may not have them all,
but we have a lot.
Own your life.
Learn,
seek
what your life is supposed to contain-
the knowledge exists in the beginning of Our nation.
In that first document.
The knowledge
and our evolved minds
know the answers.
We are at the abyss.
How many are at last ready to fly?
This time,
not just stand,
but FLY to freedom.
Because it is with Joy, fun and Games
we can All work and Create a Nation.
We CAN do it in different ways than history has shown us-
with our brains.
I know we can.
Because
so many People
have SHOWED me how.
It is in the actions,
not just words
where freedom
is found.
Are you ready to fly to your freedom?
Instead of talking about them and giving them honor in their bad,
tell me of you-
what you know,
what you have learned.
That is the honor I want to know.
I want to know about the Good People.
The ones who are the givers.
They are the strong ones.
The Takerrs is what we have in our government.
We need the givers.
It is what freedom is about
giving
not taking.
In freedom
the giving spirit
is
what freedom is.
giving to each other value.
Giving to each other honor.
giving to each other respect.
giving to each other space.
giving to each other one's place.
giving to each other one's own wrongs/sins.
carrying only your own.
taking responsibility for your mistakes.
standing up against another being denied their life.
strong
individuals.
it is where freedom
is to start
is to continue
and not end.
With the individual and their Rights
and the balance-the Responsibility.
BOTH must adhered to.
freedom will not exist with only Rights,
or only Responsibilities.
Together,
like the One and All~
Balance is what Freedom is all about.
Freedom does exist.
Unfortunately the Denial of freedom is practiced.
That is the Problem.
Knowing the problem
makes room for the solution.
Bless you all.
My People,
I am simply
one of you.

paralysis = distractions
very nicely stated. I think that the paralysis that you speak of is the distractions all around us: computers, ipods, and of course, the great leveler, television. TV is the ultimate distraction in a capitalist society. you say we might be afraid of what could happen if we strive for change. i partly agree. another part is that we're so enamored with that new __________ we saw on TV that we feel the need to slog away in our shitty jobs so we can earn just enough to buy that new _________. once we realize that our new _________ didn't bring happiness, we turn on the TV to see the next new __________ and the cycle starts again.
Freedom is out there and we have to create it for ourselves. "Freedom's not Free." you'll see that slogan on the t-shirt of any pro-war, pro-wal-mart American. but the slogan is true. freedom isn't free. but the price to be paid isn't in Iraq or Iran or North Korea. it's in the streets. instead of sending "our boys" off to iraq, we need to be fighting in the streets; get our freedom back for real.
Freedom IS Free
Hi, Alchemist. Thanks for the reply!
It is true-we have been wooed into thinking we need all this stuff-yet, the more stuff we have, the more we become owned by stuff-and get into debt for stuff,
which then makes us owned and debtors because of stuff.
A subtle and not so subtle wooing of the People to buy from corporate and capitalistic entities. It is also difficult because many of those who have stood up against the system are hurt, harmed, denied even more-for standing up for what our Nation stands for. It is something we CAN get out of. What will galvanise AmeriCans into action? That is a serious question I ask as it is what we need, so any replies are important.
I do however, disagree with the slogan, "Freedom isn't free." It is an oxymoron to give a reason to the People to give more money to the takers of government. Freedom IS Free, or it is nothing. If it is not Free then it truly cannot and will not exist. Free then becomes a word totally without meaning. It is the DENIAL of Freedom which costs.
Freedom itself is something each of us as American Citizens are to give, live, and show FREELY to each other. It is a CONCEPT which becomes a Reality by the actions and behaviors of People. The outrageous and ponderously EXPENSIVE present government is the exact opposite of a Free Nation-and the more they take, the more freedom and Rights they DENY. IT IS THE DENIAL OF FREEDOM WHICH COSTS. Think about it.
Freedom is Free-and the sooner we learn the truth of that, the sooner we can become so. The slogan so popular that it isn't free has been a very effective slogan to hush the People when monies are wanted by Our governing entities. Just like the slogan "You can't fight city hall." That is a statement many repeat and repeat-and it has been a VERY effective tool in keeping People from fighting city hall, county, any governemnt entity-it is a can't. It is a statemnt of denial of Rights. We can and ARE to fight City Hall, and all the other entities when they go against the base of what our Nation stands for. It is OUR JOB to fight City hall...and if those governing entities have become so strong that it isn't possible-then it is those ENTITIES which need to be removed.
It is time to bring our boys home, close Our nations doors, and work on our country. THAT is something I hear from People all over the nation-unaninimously. We are in Iraq. Do the People even want us there? I hear both sides. It is not our job to force a nation into our way-especially when our way isn't even working because our nation and our People are left denied and wanting very basic needs and Rights. If we want them to understand democracy,, then set up a vote for them-and let them vote us in or out-and what the People in Iraq vote for is what should be. Democracy and freedom is something we have to show others for the understanding of it to better and sooner exist. It is their country-let them decide.
It is not our job. Our job is Our nation. First and Foremost.
This Nation is Of, For, By the People-and it is what is to be returned.
No ifs, ands, buts, about it.
This Nation belongs to the People. It is time we took it back from those who are destroying it and the very People they are to serve.
Period.
Love ya!
