Drilling in Alaska, my other favorite topic of the past few weeks...

Can someone explain to me why there are people who believe they will benefit from this? Dubya drives up the price of oil (c'mon.. you know he did it on purpose, he's stupid, but he ain't crazy), then he starts talking about drilling, and people don't think it's fishy??? After all this "man" has done to us, we still want to believe he is a nice guy. Well the idea that he is just a simpleton who means us no harm has gone out the window years ago, it's just too bad that some people decided to kill themselves by jumping from that very same window. Truth is gas prices will skyrocket no matter what. Oil is done, and until we start using (not looking for, not researching) alternatives to oil, we're going to pay out the ass to drive cars. We could stabalize Iraq and Afghanistan, hell we could win the "war on terror", and prices will still rise and rise some more. Don't look to future leaders either to save us from this mess. If you think Obama is going to rescue us, you're living in a dream world. He stands to make as much, if not a lot more, than Bush has. Now really, what is it you think he's going to do? Be honest now...
