I assume your remarks were pointed at me even though i'm not bobby and you qouted the other guy, so i will respond. No, i have not been to jail, because i am not a criminal. I detest criminals. If those poor, mistreated troglodytes riot, so what. All they do is kill each other, making more room for the rest of them. As for being in control? I'm not really sure what i'm supposed to think i'm in control of, but you may be right. The people are firmly in control.

I have been a Correctional Officer for over 10 years and I would have to say this is one of the worst ideas I have ever heard of, but unfortunately it is not a new one. One big problem is the way people who are not familiar with people in prison can so easily stereotype all inmates into this conglomerate of horrible individuals who do not deserve the freedoms outlined in our constitution. I would tell you that the majority of inmates I have met in that time are people I would have no problem living next door to, and I am the father of two small girls. I have met sick and twisted individuals as well but in my experience they only make up about 10%. People in prison are there for a variety of reasons, most for trying to make money selling drugs. I reciently had a history class on the 20's and all of the horrible crimes associated with prohibition were soon alleviated when it was abolished. Our policies are killing more people than are overdoses, look it up! So before you advocate dehumanizing people in prison I would suggest some more thought on why America has the largest prison population in the world. One other problem with this idea forced labor is the effect of undercutting wages of free workers. This is a lose lose proposal, unless you believe dehumanizing people who have different mores and values than you is a good policy for this country. Of course if you feel this way maybe you should read the constitution and some of the other enlightenment documents that inspired the founding of this FREE country, such as John Stewart Mill in his famous On Liberty essay where he states that if liberty is going to be worthy of the name it would be just as wrong for the many to enforce their view on the one as it would be for the one to force their view on the many.

Right wing talk radio is the voice of Neo-Nazism! They are getting more and more bold every day. Americans need to study history more closely. The group that you belong to that they don't like could the subject of their next "hey, let's get them" idea. And we thought Saddam Hussein was bad?

Bad Idea? Sounds great to me. Do you prefer that criminals have a comfy cell with cable tv and computers.Shit, as it is now, criminals have it better than some law abiding citizens. Look, no disrespect intended, but this line of thinking is one reason why there is so much crime in the first place. Get tough on criminals and they will be less inclined to commit crimes in the first place. By getting tough i don't mean adding time to the sentence, i mean make the time served so tough that they NEVER want to go back to prison.

at work I have to put up with right wing talk radio
ALL DAY LONG EVERY FUCKING DAY I'M AT WORK
about three month ago thay started selling an idea
and spent all day selling and explaining how this idea would work
that would make law enforcement and the court system self supporting
that would make american business more competave in the world markets
lower taxes
deter chrime
and expaned would elimnate personal bad debt
thay called it conscript labor ( I call it slavery )
thay would rent out the convitcs to private businesses
at what thay called copeative rates

this can also be used to pay off bad debts ("it's time that dead beats stop being alowed to steal from businesses ")

and from time to time thay touch on what a good idea this is
this same radio station started selling the war on Iraq soon after 9/11 so this bad idea may be well on it's way to being implamented
