Our beloved state of the union

At what point will this assault on our common sense be eradicated? How much rhetoric hurled in our collective direction will it take until we are truly enslaved to the state of insentience? It is time to look closely at ourselves on the eve of this last state of the union, where a questionable president is allowed a World platform yet again to further the absurd aims of a hidden political agenda.

We citizens of these United States are not dumb. We have a humor and candor with each other everyday. It is prevalent in our work places in our grocery stores, churches, on street corners and in our bars. We have a wealth of knowledge to draw upon for comfort and numerous examples of discomfort and tyranny.

We have bloodline that provide us with pride and nationalism for our races, creeds and beautiful colors of difference. Yet, there is one element to our humanity that is missing and may go down the annals of history as our demise. It is our lack of will and our inability to confront criminality in its highest and most intimidating fashion. The systematic control over a population is a reality we can no longer endure.

Americans know the value of our freedom. We enjoy the subtlety of the mundane and can accept our own shortcomings, but what we will not tolerate is the mockery of sanity. The rule of elected law that states that we will parish if not fearful and whither if not compliant must be challenged out in the open and under brave skies of honesty.

If this rule of law need not apply to those elected officials who abuse it, then why should anyone under such law adhere to its credibility? This colossal test for humanity to face realism head on will define our state of being and challenge any prospect of a progressive future. With alert skepticism, we Americans of good intent should remain vigilant in our stand against the agents of trickery and oppression.
