Some Folks Don't See The Entire Picture
People like this guy don't realize that they are directly part of the problem in Venice by just standing by and not doing anything to help. We have a social problem that we all need to help address. Many privileged people believe that old American myth that anyone can just "pick themselves up by the bootstraps" and "go out and do some hard work". People like that don't account for the thousand privileges they've been granted since birth.
Hey this guy's right people!
Get a fucking job you stupid homeless people! Because as we all know jobs are abundant...... Eh screw it... Well done Justice! You've made it pointless for me to reply to this great man on your video, because you seem to have stolen my sentiment in your comment.
Oh and for the incredibly drunk, I did use just a bit of sarcasm... Don't come complaining to me about my lack of compassion.
I will say this: With how messed up things are in our system, who the hell would want to get a job, and support this garbage? Long, healthy, and happy lives to all homeless people. They're probably smarter than all of us combined.
Wow...
What a heartless, misinformed prick.
People would rather believe than know.
~Edward O. Wilson
Imagine positive solutions.
This is a spontaneous interview of a man who is not well informed regarding the lack of affordable housing, the need for a better healthcare system, growing economic injustice, the need for more emergency services and how these things all directly affect homelessness in our community - a man who thinks that homeless people are "riff raff" and that they are just "beating the system" by sleeping in the park.
He approached the Justice Committee while on the street documenting how a man living homeless in Venice was arrested and the LAPD just left his possessions behind, which is a violation of the law. When the police arrest someone, that person's belongings must - by law - be stored.
