Why attend the Iraq War Moratorium Gathering?

Many of us are not buffaloed by Bush rhetoric or the news media, which the Bush administration has given over $1.4 billion dollars to help you see things their way. We know, a private bank called the Federal Reserve holds the debt this war costs us all, we pay them interest, they are winning this war. While it seems I am picking on poor mistreated G.W. Bush, he is just the current office holder representing a soulless class of people. If you really study World War I you'll find that certain US industrialists sold weapons to all sides of that conflict and their profits only grew upon the dead bodies of their fellow countrymen soldiers as the US entered that war. Little did our soldiers, who fought so bravely and honorably for our freedom during World War II know, that on the German front, they were fighting soldiers who were armed with weapons that made American industrialist bankers rich beyond imagination; Henry Ford, Dupont, IBM, Union Banking Corporation (Prescott Bush on board), Brown Brothers Harriman to name a few. So as you'll see even a monkey knows there is big money in oil and war.

We have a president who lost the popular vote in 2000 and calls himself "the war president". After the longest vacation of any president during the summer of 2001 he kept reading the "Pet Goat" while our countrymen were dying on 9/11 and Bin Laden is still free. Bush made war on the Taliban, which his administration gave $30 million to stop opium production before 9/11. Next they made war on Iraq accusing Rumsfeld's buddy Saddam of possessing weapons of mass destruction that the US sold the ally before Desert Storm. Junior's buddy, President General Musharraf, dictator by military coup, who was given 11 billion dollars to fight the war on Terra, has declared marshal law in Pakistan. Bush has cut taxes for the already extremely rich. Bush and company want to eliminate Social Security and Medicare. Also they have cut funding for many Veterans benefits.

In this holiday season when we are trained to believe that our human worth is related to how expensive of gifts we can buy for our relatives and friends, please take some time to think for yourself. What does God mean to you? Is it the one imprinted on the dollar bill? Is it your father in heaven that knows and sees all, or is it the love of the miracle of life that is inside each one of us? If you have not done so, please read a bit of Mathew, Mark, Luke and John this holiday season. When you find the answers these books offer, ask yourself, who would Jesus bomb? This partly explains why I'll be standing on the corners of Highways 27 and 63 from 4pm to 5 pm on Friday December 21st, the eve of the winter solstice. Enjoy our holiday season.
