MODBURY, England — Rebecca Hosking’s moment, when a happy English farm girl cried tears that changed her life, came on a speck of sugar-white beach in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

“All you could smell was death,” Hosking recalled, sitting snugly in a 600-year-old pub in her rainy home town, which has been transformed by her epiphany two years ago on Midway Atoll.

My friend Daniel Tucker from Chicago has just started up Reviews/Interviews/Commentary, a pretty great activist blog where he will be compiling his writings on art/activism/organizing. You should check-it out.

So when you work in TV Programming, you get really excited when you have repeat producers doing amazing stuff. Deep Dish T.V., the first public access TV Satellite Network is a great example. They have been covering events, promoting radical programs, producing great documentaries, and working hard to cover the most pressing issues the U.S.

In a move that smacks of political intimidation, the Rocky Mountain News, a right wing daily newspaper in Denver, Colorado, printed the addresses of activists who are accused of blocking the Columbus Day Parade.
