Stop Pebble Mine!
Submitted by skinnychef on Fri, 2008-06-20 08:07.Pebble Mine is a huge threat to the biosphere in Bristol Bay, Alaska-- one of the largest Salmon rookeries in the world. If we continue to allow Canadian mining interests like Hunter Dickinson to dictate U.S. environmental "policy" we will find ourselves without clean water to drink and biodiversity in no time! We all may be headed that way anyway, but why expedite the process by allowing multi-national conglomerates to run amok? Do something!

Submitted by pennypenn on Sat, 2007-09-08 16:52.I say beware of a candidate who is recently much more money from the oil, gambling and casino, and tobacco industries than all his opponents on both sides. That would be Rudy Giuliani. He also takes a slight lead with the securities and investment industry.
