On May 11, the Rio Grande Guardian reported that customs agents in the Rio Grande Valley have devised a plan to check the documents of evacuees who attempt to board evacuation buses in the event of a hurricane.

The article reads reads:

Each year 60,000 undocumented immigrants graduate from high schools across the United States. With recruiters falling short of their targets and casualties mounting in Iraq and Afghanistan, these young people are increasingly being targeted by military recruiters. Leaving high school is a stressful time in any young person's life, even more so for those living in the United States without documentation. "Unsockumented" uses dark humor to explore some of the challenges that these youth face.
