When Congress returns to Washington on 1/15, Congressman Robert Wexler plans to present his fellow members of the House Judiciary Committee with the list of 160,000+ signatures on his petition at http://www.wexlerwantshearings.com and a
request to join him in signing a letter to Chairman John Conyers asking for Cheney impeachment hearings to begin.
We're trying to organize all pro-impeachment organizations to Email their members on 1/15 or in the morning on 1/16 asking them to make 1/16 a national call-in day on impeachment. We need everyone to call their member of Congress, especially if their member is on the House Judiciary Committee, and ask for support for Cheney impeachment hearings.
It's an easier ask than signing onto articles of impeachment or introducing new ones, but we'd love for them to do both of those things. It's a harder ask than just more pointless non-impeachment investigations. The investigations have been done. The high crimes and misdemeanors are known and established. What we need is for every member of Congress to ask Chairman John Conyers to begin the Cheney impeachment hearings right away.
Optional: Ask your members once they've made that phone call to also phone and Email the media to ask for coverage of the impeachment movement.

There was a handout given to those in attendance that contained a survey conducted by American Research Group, Inc. It states that 45% of American adults favor impeachment proceedings to begin against George W. Bush and 54% of American(US)adults favor impeachment proceedings to begin against Dick Cheney.

There is no with "us" or against "us" here; this has to do with the validity of the constitution and the very conscience of our nation. Using government funds to subsidize oil and weapons industries of those individuals who donated to his election campiegn translates into CRIME. Bush and company have conspired and perpetrated crimes that should shock the conscience of every American. For our representative not to do everything in their power to get this criminal in office is an insult to every citizen. International treaties signed are the law of the land, calling prisoners enemy combatants does not excuse the crime. Cruel and unusual treatment of captive fellow humans by any other name is still torture. I am certain every charge below can be proven in front of a jury. Let us join the good citizens of Vermont in doing our duty to our Nation and to our Human family of the entire Earth. Let us work together to deliver signed copies of every petition demanding impeachment to our Senators and Congressmen.
