The memorial service on May 24, 2008 was hosted by Bob Kendrick of 9news and included the Buckley Joint Color Guard and the students of Civil Air Patrol. The service was held in honor of the Aprox.30Colorado natives dead in the Iraq war and the 236 dead that were stationed at Fort Carson. The families of the dead Coloradoans were asked to stand and be honored for their fallen ‘heroes.’

Privatization of Social Security. No longer will the old of age be guaranteed support thanks to the many fallacies of the Bush Administration. Organizations like PERA provide social security benefits to Colorado State employees, but what about everybody else. My mother has worked to support her children for over 40 years, and had little hope to retire at all.
