SUPPORT JOSH WOLF, citizen journalist
We aired a video blog entry from Josh about a year ago on SourceCode as part of a segment highlighting video opinioin on justice. Couldn't be more IRONIC.
Josh is a regular guy doing independent reporting from the places most bloggers work from - their chair, their house, their streets.
His case is revolutionary. It's the first time participatory media has felt the boot.

NPR ran a story today on Morning Edition. Not posted yet, but it will be. Ari Shapiro did a great job outlining the issues.
But this is more than an 'issue'. Josh is a person using his first amendment rights to report on what he sees around him. He's an active member of our democracy, who participates in civil rights. As an archivist and commentator, and web poster, he is a journalist.
Not according to the feds, though. It seems the powers that be are trying to create a state where only certain, officially authorized entities can be protected as 'press' under the first amendment.
An entity perhaps like the Carlyle Group, which is prepping a bit for the Tribune Media Company - print and broadcasting. Today's story:
