Did the South Georgia Media inform you about the following incident in our beloved community, and if not, why not? That Mr. Joseph Calhoun Jr., was tasered for whatever reason by a Lanier County Sheriff’s Deputy. The incident took place at approximately 12:00 AM, on 1-08-08 at a local residence in Lakeland Georgia according to Mary Calhoun (the mother).
She told me that her son was tasered in the back of the head and then transported to the Lowndes County Jail for whatever reason. Then charged with obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer at a party.
She notified several citizens and organizations that her son was NEVER taken to see a doctor-----to her knowledge.
Ms Calhoun can be reached at 229-503-3333, and willing to talk to any one who can help her in this case. She does not want this to happen to another human being for whatever reason!
Moreover she is very concerned as to why local newspapers and TV Stations have not notified the public about her son’s incident with law enforcement in South Georgia. As was done when Sammy Baker was tased and later died in Quitman Georgia recently.
