Today, September 17 is Constitution Day, but very, very few Americans know this or will celebrate it. If you think of yourself as a politically engaged, civic-minded and patriotic American, then I urge you to celebrate today by expanding your mind about a critically important but never-used part of our Constitution.

Mccain and like minded people keep bragging about the "success of the troop surge." They fail to mention that Iraq forces are being permited to enter areas such as Sadar city with the cease fire agreement that "NO AMERICANS" enter with them. This means that ending occupation is the actual success. Can anyone verify more "NO AMERICAN" cease fire agreements?

A new national poll (according to a Reuters/Zogby poll released on Wednesday.) shows Republican John McCain pulling ahead of Democrat Barack Obama, with a 5-point lead. It's a sharp turnaround for McCain, who has generally trailed Obama in national polls.

A way to make dramatic change to the process (and I think it can be done just by changing the process) without changing the Constitution in order to create a people's party and to hope for representatives that work and represent the people and not corporate interests is to rally forces to bring about the expansion of the House of Representatives. Presently, we have 435.
