The Age of Aquarius, 2012 revisited

Coming Of Age

Talk about 2012 of the Mayan Calendar is quite popular and as with many such events throughout humankind’s history, some people are predicting doomsday and the end of the world. In reality, an Earth ending event coinciding with an ancient astrological interpretation of an age or eon marked by changing patterns in the night sky due to the Earth’s wobble is highly unlikely.

While many theologians believe the Earth and the entire universe to have been created in 7 days anywhere from 6000 to 10,000 years ago; scientists place the date at about 4.6 billion years for Earth and the Universe at about 13.7 billion years. Ages (eons) have been marked by a long count astrological calendar that uses the same symbols as the 12 month yearly cycle except a symbol relates to about 2160 years. For instance Moses may have marked the beginning of the Aries (ram) eon and Jesus thus marked the beginning of the Pisces(fish) eon and Aquarius(water bearer) will mark the coming eon.

On a spiritual, moral, humanistic level, as a whole of humanity, we have not yet learned the lessons of the last age. In fact, the prince of peace, who some coincide with the beginning of the Pisces age, preached that you cannot serve two masters, God and Mammon. He also said we should treat others as we wish to be treated and to love our enemies. Contrary to the saying of Jesus, a rebel of his day, It appears to me that Mammon rules all like never before. This worship of Mammon (money) is most evident here in the United States, where we even print “In God We Trust” on our money.

The main mode of operation, of our capitalist society and the people who control our government; is to insure that the owner/investor class gets the greatest possible return on their money. This bottom line mentality has taken money, which is in theory, a tool to exchange goods and services; and made it into a tool used to enslave all but a few privileged people; money (mammon) worship is a headless monster without moral or soul.

Just as the traditional religious Earth centered explanations of the universe limited our understanding, by labeling scientists, who through observation proved that the Earth goes around the sun, heretics and blasphemers; limiting our spiritual understanding to that of the sages and teachers of past eons is surely detrimental to our development as intelligent beings. Surely there are spiritual lessons in the life and works of Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Einstein, Mother Teresa, John Lennon and countless others who have shown us how to dedicate our lives to the good of mankind.

Many persons in the US and throughout the planet have been indoctrinated to believe in an omnipotent male creator. Predominantly this theory is supported by the rationale that the order of universe could not have happened spontaneously or naturally and therefore requires an intelligent designer who thinks in a similar manner to the way we humans do. My motive in writing this portion of this letter is not to debate the existence or nonexistence of God, rather to illustrate the results such indoctrination and belief has on the health and wellbeing of our human family.

In fact, history proves that very human leaders often used religion and God to rally their subjects to fight, kill and take the property of gentiles, infidels, terrorists and any other peoples who they choose to alienate, dehumanize and conquer.

While war is a most profitable activity for the ruling class, the ultimate price of one’s life; is often paid by the opposing defenders, civilians and even the soldier-subjects of the victorious state. Another obvious injustice of a patriarchal religious hierarchy is the disenfranchising of woman, who happen to comprise half of the human population. In other words if you study history, religion and God have had a very sadistic effect on all but the ruling class, who have utilized a fictional association to the mythical supreme authority, to manipulate their subjects resulting in their individualistic gain of wealth and power.

While traditional religions and philosophies of life persist, there is a spiritual shift taking place. Many people who believe in God have redefined their belief to characterize God as including both male and female attributes or as an entity that is not sexual in nature. Many are awakening to the fact that we are biological creatures whose existence depends on a relatively thin surface layer of our planet known as the biosphere. Due to the prevalence of religious thought and philosophies of man’s dominion over nature including a duty to God to be fruitful and multiply; many have chosen to declare that environmental concerns are not of a religious nature separate from religion and secular. There is also an atheist movement that denies God and all supernatural entities. Instead of enlightening us about our natural being, in the US, atheists seek to use the 1st Amendment to bring legal suits against government entities demanding the removal of religious statues, symbols and writings from public property. So while some people have been aware to the fact that we are natural beings for hundreds of years others worship money and deities invented by men. There is no specific magic millennium date, which this change occurs.

So such changes in the human psychic are gradual. In comparison and illustration, we tend to see the American Revolutionary war as something that happened on the fourth of July when it was from 1775 to 1783. If one thinks that the entire Universe is 6000 to 10,000 years old or that the Earth is 4.6 billion years old is of little concern to me compared with the health, wellbeing and longevity of my entire human genus family. While I seek to remain positive about the future of mankind, I believe that certain teachings shared by Judea, Christian and Muslim religions about Armageddon and a final judgment day, are self destructive. Spirit tied to emotion, ever so similar to free will, is the flux behind which direction we take our material and scientific endeavors. Yet no religion or philosophy of life I know of to date fully includes a long-term plan for the health, wellbeing and longevity of our entire human family and our planet. Why would God and men choose not to offer us an optimistic, loving, nurturing plan?

We are a beautiful life form capable of existing in the physical universe as a species indefinitely. I refuse to sit idle and watch the powers that be lead us on a self destructive path. We have so much more potential even to exist in that realm beyond time and space which I lightheartedly name “the sweet spot of the universe”; we do not need to go extinct in a final judgment of unworthiness.
The plan is simple and begins with truth and love, first with yourself. My reasons, for wanting to help bring in a new positive era for humankind is both selfish and selfless. I want to know, for certain, that my human family will transcend the physical plane. Although this whole scientific naturalist, spiritual evolutionist movement will confront traditional world view; I do not express these words out of judgment or hate but love and truth. I’m willing to accept my person as a temporary mortal entity and I’m less afraid of this death than the death of my genus human family. I desire to be part of something eternal and if I get to go there, I am taking my entire species with me.

The first part of a plan is a goal. That goal is to have eternal life. Eternity, when compared with our individual life spans, is on a near infinite scale, in an endless universe predicted to be in the neighborhood of 14 billion years old. That age number is from a theorized big bang concept and we have no clue what happened before that mark in linear time. If you take a walk though time into the future, the sun will turn into a red giant in a few billion years and that will boil all the water off of the Earth making biological life here impossible. So, to more precisely predict the future of life is to study the past. Primates and bipedal appeared millions of years ago so the chances of the Earth sustaining human life for a million years into the future, is relatively good.

The key is that within these time frames we discover fusion, the speed of light, back holes and phenomena that lead us to believe there is a unified field connecting all time space and matter. This awareness has not fully become reality even though it once was and always will be. This spirit is very subtle and when you work and think that we will achieve such connectivity and tranquility with all time space and matter, through the success shared by all humanity, you will feel a refection of this future in the present moment. Even the most intelligent, powerful people on the planet are suffering because no one has explained to them the beauty and wonder of our ultimate connection to the universe.
Back to life on a daily basis, we must continue to learn about our biosphere and practice environmentally sustainable lifestyles. Energy use and human population explosion are what concern me most when considering longevity. Current economic theories practiced, are based on infinite growth, which is leading us all to war, poverty and disaster. The richest individuals on the planet must be awakened to their connection and oneness to our family of man. Diversifying our sources of energy and conservative energy use practices are paramount to our immediate well being. Teaching people about biological facts and giving them the choices of abstinence, birth control, and the ability to healthily raise the smaller number of children they do plan to have; is maybe even more important than our energy concerns.

Just as the energy released from the combustion reaction with oxygen, was discovered and harnessed over time, we are capable of harnessing nuclear fire that has been discovered and verified by man as nuclear fission and fusion. We know the sun works on fusion and we have detonated hydrogen bombs. It is just the will of those persons who seek power and wealth, by manipulating us through their control of fossil fuel and food production, that are holding back from completing such an energy level transformation. During his life, Robert W. Bussard, took part in Tokomak design and then switched his energies to Electrostatic Confinement Fusion. Before his death, in the fall of 2007, he claimed he could build a fusion powered electricity generating device that could be used in place of fission and coal power plants for 200 million dollars. The powers that be, would rather spend a billion dollars a day fighting wars over oil than fund such a project! Their priorities reek of greed and a sadistic motive of economic domination of our planet.

The rich too, are afraid of death, and that fear is what motivates them to act out their decadent behavior; because nobody ever taught them about their connection to the whole of mankind and their ability to actively help in the metamorphosis of our collective spirit into something that exists beyond the limits of time space and matter; to be written in the book of life rather than the book of extinction. Repeat after me, although my life here is temporary, as a mortal being, I refuse to allow my species to become as a flash in the pan; my reward, even this very minute, is knowing that I will be remembered in the book of life for the positive work I have accomplished toward man’s journey and transformation into existence within the alpha and omega, where one second and eternity are the same.

These words help explain my personal philosophy of life which is dear to me. For lack of a more descriptive name for this dear philosophy, all the world’s religious and scientific teachings combined, may be called scientific naturalism or spiritual evolution. None of this has been written as a judgment of any person or their religion. It has been written as an expression of what I believe to be true in relevant to my physical and spiritual existence. How else can we love the dead other than to endure? We must realize that we make an impact as an entire species whether we do so with plan and direction or in a self-destructive manner, making our planet into a bad experiment in a Petri dish. What I seek to express is so overwhelming that millions of words may never completely describe the spiritual path I have found. At the same time, it may be expressed in one word, LOVE.

Thank You someone else who

Thank You someone else who feels as I do. Only one problem with this your asking people to take back their minds which are under thick blankets of lies. The key is breaking through these lies and opening the eyes of people who would rather be followers and do what they are told to do rather than taking charge of every aspect of their life. Like the Big Religions and the Corporations of the World who use the scare tatics to stay in charge of the masses.
