The Iraq war costs $720 million per day. How would you spend it?

I'm not going to try to divide the money by amounts, but first, we need to get our soldiers back. Once back, we need to help our soldiers physical, emotional, and mental health, as well as give each and every one of them a bonus in the form of money for what they have gone through, so they can set their lives and family up to survive here in the wake of this regime. A large part of it should be given to Iraq to help them repair the damage we have caused.

We need to appropriate a large part of it towards medical coverage for every person in the US, and get a proper welfare system to help turn around the poverty in our own front and back yard. As it is set up now, to force those in poverty to work before they can get any aid does not work. There just aren't enough jobs, or proper wages to have this system work right now. How can you expect someone who is covered in sadness and dirt to eat at your table if you don't GIVE them a bar of soap so they can clean up and feel better about themselves first. Our own homelessness is a shame in the face of the world. We need to bring our minimum wages back up to match the economy. We need to build a cheap vehicle that is within the guidelines to help the world repair the tragic climate change we are causing, and allow people who live under and around the poverty line to trade their cars in, straight across, for one of these cheap vehicles. Gosh, if I continue here, it will just get all tangled up and held up by the system we now have in place. Our system just plain does not work any more. We need to completely oust the fake, self-appropriated monarchy that dictates this country, and start with a new, clean slate, to re-introduce the democratic process that was intended for us by our founding fathers.

We need to be able to help others; that is within our human behavior, but how can one help another if they are not strong themselves? We are a mess, and we need to get those that created this mess out! Education, Medical coverage, Grants for the people to start their own businesses, with guidelines to bring us back to the "downtown America" with shops and stores owned by locals. Get rid of the Monsters that crush the little guy, like Walmart... We need to bring our pride back up, and start working again; for ourselves! What ever happened to our pride and our compassion for our own next-door neighbors?

Many years ago, while I was driving to one of the big monster stores to be able to buy groceries, I was saddened at the road rage that was surrounding me, and causing people to cut each other off. My son; then only 5 years old, said, "Mommy, I know what the problem is!" I asked, "What is it honey?" He replied, "Americans have lost their compassion."
