Forgive me, I feel the need to state more of the obvious. Too many people focus on the way Christ died, and forget the things he said and did. It would've been far better for the world had the church never even brought up his death, but of course the church and it's followers would gladly crucify me for saying such a thing, and you brother as well. The way I see it, if someone is one of the "he died for your sins" kind of people then they have less faith than most atheist I've ever seen. If you get 2 minutes on the street to talk about Christ, and the first thing out of your mouth is about his death, then you missed the point completely. It furthers the idea that anyone who believes in his ressurection will be saved, which is of course as you and I and hopefully an astounding number of others know already, bullshit. The good news he spoke so elequently about, is not the four books that made the Bible, as some believe and really that is incredible to me. The good news of course (and rather obviously) is that God is here. It's certainly not that he was crucified, that's just insulting and absurd.
Of course the bottom line from Christ is that he called us to love one another, regardless of pro/anti Israeli sentiments, and who killed who, and why, and whatever. If (the figurative) you really believes that Jesus ever wanted boundaries in the human heart, or on the globe, you're horribly mistaken. Christ, like all great faithful men/women understood that the foundation of the spiritual world was the soul, not the body, and so many have fallen from that. It doesn't matter whether or not he was God/savior etc. Like you've been saying why can't we all be saviors? Because we focus on the gibberish and grudges...
