Wow, it seems like I've packed a lot into my half-century of living. I am healthy in that I don't have any major "old-people" illnesses. Praise God. My faith is a strong part of me, BUT I definitely DON'T judge others and I'm not pushy.
I'm 6 months short of age 50 (7-10-58), I'm lesbian and have been with my partner for 17 yrs. I am very interested in federal civil unions so that we could have the 2100 benefits that the entity called legal marriage provides for straight married couples. I have strong opinions on Hate Crimes, both against Humans and ANIMALS.
We have 4 dogs: 6 yr German Shepherd, 6 yr Yellow Lab, 6 yr mini poodle, AND a 13 yr mini Shar Pei. They are all fantastic in their individual quirky ways. We also have a 1.5 yr beautiful Senegal parrot who for some reason is VERY partial to me. We have a Vietnamese gecko, a leopard gecko, and a huge 7 yr old Bearded Dragon named Doug. He's quite the crumudgeon. We had a 2nd Dragon who we got as an 8 wk old and he died yesterday at 1.5 yrs of unknown causes. The Vet didn't know either. We gave him a proper burial in our garden.
Finally, we have a tropical fish tank that has 4 wonderful Albino African Black-Clawed frogs. They live completely in the water so they are easy to take care of. They live with a goldfish that we got as food for the frogs. This little fish was about 1 in. long and was totally black. I rescued him from sure death and now he is about 6 in. long and 3 in. top to bottom. and turned from total black to brilliant ORANGE. Finally, there is a plecostomas (algae-Eater). He's grown to be about 8 in. long.
Additionally I love photography, kayaking, dog obedience and handling. I am a stained glass artisan and create beaded jewelry. I am currently an only child as my younger brother passed away from esophageal CA 4 yrs ago. Both parents are living, divorced, and both have been remarried around 25 yrs.

This website is a very mixed up collection of my photography. These photos were all taken with a Canon 10D 35mm digital camera. Originally, all the photos were in very anal-retentive categories and sub-categories; however, pbase suffered a major server overload and while all the photos were recovered, there is no semblance of order. There are some really nice nature and landscape, portraits and pet photos in there somewhere. These are the ONLY copies of all of these photos because all the original printable size photos were destroyed when we lost our house in a fire the day after Christmas. (HINT!! Do NOT store your backup disks anywhere NEAR your computer.)

- Favorite books, movies, music
I really like action and adventure movies, I'v e been stuck on Stephen King books since I checked out "Carrie" (his 1st) from the school library when I was in 8th grade. The book had been written the previous year. I was 12 at the time and I have purchased EVERY book of his, no matter the genre or the name he used. Well, that now amounts to 38 years of his books. I also like novels about computer hacking, computer security, like Dan Brown's Deception Point. I pretty much read anything I can get my hands on. My partner & I have enough books between us to open a mid-size library complete with reference books on practically any subject you may desire. We have an extraordinary number of Christian, spiritual, religious resource books as well. That's currently my area of study and interest. As far as music goes, I am permanently stuck in the 70's & early 80s including R & R, disco, top 40's, etc. I do know a few newer songs (my daughter went thru a teenage stage). I.E. I just bought the newest Kid Rock CD (R & R Jesus) yesterday.
