Vote for Michael Moore
i didnt even read this whole post
but i just wanna say micheal moore is not in this for your best interests
he's a fraud
and he may expose some truth but that doesn't mean he's king
yes the bush administration is corrupt
but so is kerry
if micheal moore was a real prophet he would expose the truth about 9/11 and the governments involvement instead of just siding it off to the liars in the mainstream media who say its just osama and his gang. YEAH RIGHT.
what we were told about 9/11 from Bush is a lie.
he was involved.
and Kerry is a Skull and Bones stooge.
Conservative/Liberal | Democrat/ Republican
its all two sides to the same coin.
thats truth.
the world isn't 50/50 and i want more representation than two seperate corporate slave parties
the truth is not as easy as Micheal Moore.
the truth is all i want.
The only thing that can say in my defence is that history is written by the victors. To say that Michael Moore is simply out to make a buck is disenguous, becuase he is spending large amounts of his own money trying to get people active in politics in this country. But what the hell is wrong with making money? It's okay for Mel Gibson to make millions with is Passion of the Christ. Does that make his story true?
The topics that Michael Moore brings to our attention are true and they can be proven through a little research. Besides if you read any of his books he always documents his sources.
By the way what is your definiton of 'getting the facts from true sources?' Do you mean corporate media? Good luck finding the whole truth there.
By the way, Michael Morre and many people like him are NOT fiction writers. It's not like Stephen King got together with him to make Fahrenheit 9/11.
Lastly, if the current administration was a little more open with what they are doing behind all of their closed doors, then it wouldn't be necessary to try and uncover the truth.
Shouldn't we as Americans get our facts from true sources and not just the blindly follow fiction writers such as Moore who are just out to make a buck? If we all jumped on board the Michael Moore type "truths", then soon enough there will be a uprising to get Darth Vader to stop repression of the free universe. Fiction is fiction.
Dear Crash 899,
Thank you for the definitions.
One of the reasons that this country is so apathetic is that most of us would rather watch a cartoon character than to deal with all of the realities of life as we know it in the 21st century.
Whether you agree with Michael Moore or if you hate him, film makers like Michael need to be allowed their free speech. Some of the most important decrees in the birth of our country stem from the fact that we as Americans deserve to hear BOTH sides of the 'story.'
After watching Fahreheit 9/11, I did not totally agree with everything that Michael Moore filmed (only a few things mind you); but the documentary pissed me off! This is not the tike to be apathetic, this is not the time push aside all of the crap that is happening in our country and in the world. It is time to educate ourselves and to prepare ourselves for whatever the future might foretell.
Thank you.
P.S. I thought that Shrek was much better than Shrek 2, although I laughed my ass off at Puss In Boots.

I'm not sure that it qualifies as a documentary. Personally i found shrek 2 more entertaining.

Hello all, I just wanted everyone to see the email from Michael Moore. His movie Fahrenheit 9/11 has been nominated for the Favorite Film of the Year from the People's Chioce Awards. Now I know that it is extremely silly to be voting for movies now, but if enough of us vote then maybe we can piss off the Bush lovers just a little more.
Thank you.
Dear Friends,
May I take a break from our post-election despair to share with you a little piece of happy/silly/cool news?
"Fahrenheit 9/11" has been nominated by the People's Choice Awards as the American public's "Favorite Film of the Year." The five nominees were chosen from a poll of thousands of Americans in mid-to-late November. The other nominees for best film are "Spiderman 2," "The Incredibles," "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" (with Jim Carrey), and "Shrek 2." It is the first time ever a documentary has been nominated for best film by the People's Choice Awards.
The People's Choice Awards are considered, among all the awards shows, to be the one which most accurately reflects the "mainstream" public opinion in the United States.
OK, now, here's the best part: YOU get to vote! Online. Now. Just go to http://www.pcavote.com/voting/film/f01.shtml, click on the little circle next to "Fahrenheit 9/11" in the "Favorite Movie" category and press the "vote" button. Voting is going on now and continues only through this coming Monday, December 13, at 3:00pm ET, so send an e-mail to your friends and let them know they can vote, too. Winners will accept their awards live on CBS on January 9.
Now, normally I wouldn't make a very big deal out of something like this. It's nice and I'm honored, but it's not exactly the number one priority on any of our minds these days. In fact, when we found out we were nominated over a week ago, I didn't even think to tell you about it or put it up on our website.
But then a group of top Republicans took out a full page ad in USA Today (and placed a similar one in the Hollywood trade magazine, Variety) proclaiming that "An election is over, but a war of ideas continues." The point of the ad was to say that while they, as right wing conservatives, were proud of getting rid of Kerry, there was still one more nuisance running around loose they had to deal with -- me! They also issued a not-so-subtle threat to the Academy Awards voters that, in essence, said don't even THINK about nominating "Fahrenheit 9/11" for Best Picture. And Bill O'Reilly recently bellowed that if the Oscars recognize my work this year, Middle America will boycott Hollywood.
Oops. I guess he spoke too soon. Because now along comes Middle America's favorite awards show, the People's Choice, and the People's Choice this year, along with a Spiderman superhero and a lovable green ogre, is a film that apparently continues to resonate throughout the country. The truth about Iraq, Bush, terror and fear. The election has not altered or made irrelevant, unfortunately, a single one of these issues. That they (and the film that dealt with these issues) are still at the forefront of the majority of the public's minds should give serious pause to Mr. Bush as he brags about a nonexistent "mandate" and begins to spend his "political capital."
He may have been (barely) the people's choice on November 2 (Ohio recount excluded), but now the people get to vote again, this time for a movie. It's about the best we can do right now, and, trust me, it won't be long before we start the real work we need to do to get our country back.
Again, go to http://www.pcavote.com/voting/film/f01.shtml if you want to vote for our film. I promise, if we win, to give a nice and polite speech.
Yours,
Michael Moore
