Why I converted to Islam?
I `m an American man whose life had problems,because I led a dissipated life full of sin.I was always unhappy and my life was in dire strait.Despite all the lust of the flesh,I never found joy,just temporary joy followed by bitterness.I rarely visited Church if I did it was just for a special occasion,I never trusted priests or confessing to a priest nor did I believe the Bible which seemed to me like an ordinary book written by people and that is the Truth.
I always thought that Islam is a religion which supports Extremity and Fanaticism,so frankly I did not respect it until I received an offer by A Saudi Businessman to work in Saudi Arabia with an Incredible salary which I found apparently quite hard to resist.
In Saudi Arabia,I got the best reception by almost every Saudi man including that Businessman which really completely changed my bigotry against Arabs and Muslims in particular.Frankly,we mistreat Arabs and muslims whereas most of them treat us with high respect.
In Saudi Arabia I was so astounded by the Way Muslims pray 5 times a day and their decency and care for all the members of their family,something I yearned to see in the USA.Also,the way they face problems , their tolerance and their strong will to die as martyrs really made me Curious to learn about Islam,so I was introduced to (Sheikh Omar)who gave me an English Version of the "Holy Koran" as a gift.I read some Verses of the Koran and was so enchanted,I felt an unprecedented Euphoria , never felt it before.(One Verse of the Holy Koran says that "I have my own religion and you have yours,My worship is different than yours,it doesn`t do any harm to God if you are an atheist.If you are a believer in God,you will benefit...God might deprive someone of money to give him health instead...You have the option to choose faith in God or blasphemy ...Islam never forces you to be a muslim if you are not convinced,you can be a Pagan or an atheist,Islam loses nothing if you chose all the material pleasures...."
The second day I listened to a tape By Saudi Sheikh Omar emphasizing on the development of (a sperm to an embryo,and how God provides food for the embryo when the embryo exists at his mother`s womb and how God provides food for the earthworm in a barren land and the story Of (Sodom and Comorrah, Moses and the flood)as well as the Fact that God created with evil animals like the snake goodness(For example,the poison of the snake is used in medicine,the skin of the snake is one of the most valuable leather...and that God created evil to give you an option which way to choose and that God at most times test your faith in misfortunes and that heaven is the eternal place for good Virtuous people not for the Greedy evil people...The best if all Islam accepts you if you sinned several times on condition you`ll repent.
The next day I called (Sheikh Omar)and expressed my willingness to convert to Islam,he said :"It`s up to you to decide if you are not convinced about Islam,we never force anyone to choose Islam,since we have billions of muslims worldwide. His impressive words made me convert to Islam and now my life had changed from disenchantment to joy and hope.I couldn`t help but write this journal.Honestly I never found this inspiration and this great happiness except in Islam.I know I might receive a lot of attacks from brainwashed bigots but nothing whatsoever would let me change my point of view about Islam.Allahu Akbar wa assalam alaykum.(God is Great and peace to everyone of you).

Most people are converting
Most people are converting to Islam because they are fed with our western torn society of corruption,porn,violence and indifference,simply they want to find happiness and peace of mind whether in Islam or Christianity.Faith in God works miracles.
Islam is Great/The problem is with Muslim Fundamentalits.

Thanks for your comment,It`s alright if you disbelieve my story.My job was a merchant.If you view Islam as a bloody religion,it`s your fault.Could you tell me why Islam is widely and rapidly prevailing in all parts of the worlds despite concerted attacks on it?.There are some radical muslims who abuse the reputation of Islam as there are some radical priests who secretly make love to both men and women and do harm to Christianity.Don`t tell me about the bias media in the USA?.Frankly,I`m not a fan of The Iranian regime,but I think Iran is not that fundamentalist country you`d expect to see if you ever decided to visit.I don`t like bigotry and prejudice.We all know that Zionists run the media all over America and almost in every country,so they aim at the destruction of Islam.

You're welcome. Why not answer the questions though? You put yourself out there like that, isn't it only fair that people be allowed to ask some valid questions? I don't view Islam itself as bloody, but a lot of people who follow it worldwide apparently do. They are chopping heads off for really no reason. Also, I think it was you who elsewhere said that you agreed with the Muslims who wanted to chop off some Danish heads over a cartoon? Isn't that radical? If Islam is indeed a religion of peace and love, why would you ever want to chop a head off? Truth is, Islam is what Muslims make of it, and generally speaking they do a pretty fair job. However when there is a weak link (the radicalists etc.) it does weaken the whole chain. Of course it's much worse than a weak link considering some world powers are purely Muslim, and they do in fact chop heads off every day over absolutely nothing, or they try to over naming a teddy bear "Muhammad"....

Your problem isn't zionism. Who told you that anyway?? Your problem is the fact that your brothers and sisters (on both sides, yes whether you like it or not all Jews are your siblings, no matter what insane or rational beliefs they hold) are killing each other over little more than dirt. When Muslims, Jews, Christians, etc. indeed everyone understands that we are merely a family and that all life is sacred only then will we come to God. Just a few questions for you
I'm curious, what did you do for work in Saudi Arabia? Did you gain citizenship? If so how long were you a citizen before you converted to Islam? Did you have any issues with the Mutaween, before you converted? If not, why not? Are you aware that they do in fact force Islam on all their people, in fact so much that it's written in law? Not only that, but are you aware that pactising any other faith is strictly regulated, and in most cases completely outlawed, not to mention punished extremely harshly (includes lack of faith)?

There's a nice little article for everyone to read. I know, rape victims are in fact guilty of adultery and should be lashed a few hundred times (according to Wahhabi law, which is obviously a poorly conceived joke, that no one ever understood was just a joke...). Do you really think God approves of this? I mean if you look at Islam throughout the Middle east it's as if they're worshipping Satan, if these are the types of laws they follow and the common people do nothing about it. Anyone who abides by such law is no servant of God, and has no right to be called one, THAT is the truth. But really this isn't about Islam, it's about Saudi law, and of course my obvious disbelief of your story. I have tons more articles from more reputable sources if you'd like to discuss them sometime, yet very very few from the Saudi press. I guess they just don't talk about their crimes as much as we'd like. Eh well, peace be upon you, real peace not the type you'll find in a mosque or book, but the type you find only with God.
